These mugs are exactly what I need. I have a set and they worked out so perfectly I decided to buy a second set in a different color. I have tremors which don't show unless I'm trying to do something, like putting my coffee cup down and having coffee splash out everywhere. With these mugs that doesn't happen. I can enjoy my coffee without having to clean up spills. The lids are not attached and are not sealed so they are not leak proof, but they do prevent those splashes from materializing. They also keep your coffee a little warmer longer as long as you remember to close the lid. The mugs are not thermal though. Don't expect your drink to stay warm for hours. The cork is easy to remove for washing. I've had no problem with the cork not staying on once it is back on the mug. The mugs themselves are well made and nice looking.

I have been searching for something like this for A LONG time. I make myself a fancy-ish coffee/tea every morning. I am someone who, when drinking a hot beverage... actually likes it to stay hot. So I typically drank out of a "travel mug" while at home. But this is so much more... satisfying. The ceramic is great, as is the rich color, and the cork is not only aesthetic but functional (no ring marks on your wooden coffee table or nightstand). In fact, you could say that about the whole mug. Aesthetic and functional. My favorite combination for all things in life. The well-fitting lid that sinks discreetly and reminds you of perfection, just like shade-grown sustainably grown locally roasted coffee mixed with the just the right amount of turbinado sugar and organic heavy cream. Perfection containing perfection. Doesn't get much better than that. Bonus, they come with two, and my girlfriend loves hers too. She doesn't need her drink to stay as hot though... so she doesn't use the lid as religiously as I do. That's what is so cool about it. with a travel mug, when you aren't using a lid it just seems like its missing from the design. These remain elegant with or without. This will definitely be a gift I give others as I can't imagine anyone not liking these.

I really liked the mug! It has good hand feel. You can take the cork off the bottom to wash the cup thoroughly so it is very easy to clean. It's a good size. The color is as expected. The cup is insulated well enough to keep my beverage at a good temperature while I drink it. The lid is not trustworthy at all, so I would not recommend it for travel. It can keep your beverage warmer for a little longer but it will not prevent a spill. Even with a bad lid, it is a good cup.

Second update: I received 4 replacement mugs, and so far none have cracked or chipped. They hold heat well, and the lids that came with them fit better than the previous ones. Very satisfied with the new mugs, and with the excellent customer service. Update: After writing my initial review, the company reached out and offered me either a refund or replacement of the item. They were very friendly and considerate. I never expected anything, just wanted to review the mugs. I will update again when I get the replacements. Doesn’t keep coffee warm. The 2nd day we had these, one of the handles cracked. The metal piece on the bottom of 2 fell off, and the others get rusty. Also smaller than I thought they would be. I only bought them because they were domino some really nice ones we had bought before, but those are no longer available. Lids do not fit well, either.

I really wanted these cups to keep my coffee hot, but they only keep it warm. I also can’t put these cups in the microwave because they have magnets on the bottom. So I would say well made, but they don’t meet my needs.

They look good. The removable cork bottom is good for cleaning. The big issue is, the outside of mug gets hot from the beverage. This leads to the heat dissipating very fast. This leads to the contents cool down very fast

These are fantastic mugs. I have been using these mugs everyday for a year. I'm not sure about using the dishwasher. I tried the dishwasher once and the cork seemed to shrink off the mug a little. But maybe these are fine for the dishwasher. I hand wash these. They are easy to clean. They seem resistant to coffee or tea stains, or at least do not reveal them. The cork bottom makes coasters unnecessary. If you have hot liquid in them, you can rest the mug on your lap and the heat does not come through the cork. They have a good weight to them--not too light and not too heavy. The cork bottom came off one mug after about 10 months. We superglued it back on and have had no problems since. I LOVE THESE MUGS and highly recommend them.

The coffee cups are well made and attractive, but there is a metal plug(for lack of a better description) embedded in the outside bottom underneath the removable cork base which makes it unable to be used in the microwave. I can find no use for that plug anywhere in the description or on the mug, so I have no idea what it's for. Too bad, because I liked the feel and weight of it when held, but I often need to reheat my coffee. It doesn't seem to keep the coffee any warmer for any longer than a normal cup, so I am curious what it is there for.
