So, I'm a pretty picky guy. I bought some of these a few ago. Since then, I tried some other brands. They never measured up to these glasses. The size is perfect. Others I bought were well made, but they were too big. I want something that will fit loosely on my nose so I can see over the top for distance. The others were either ON for reading, or OFF entirely. The quality of the Doubletake glasses is excellent. The frames are sturdy and have a nice spring-action for ease of wear and putting on/taking off. The lenses are excellent as well. I now own eight pair of these glasses. No hunting! The reading glasses are VERY WELL made. They are very sturdy and close with a positive closure. Just the right size to wear while reading and yet allows the wearer to look over them for a distance view. I will be ordering 2 more pair to keep in each of my vehicles.

Pros: Well made solidly built Great hard case Reasonably priced Optics appear to be fine Con: I am experimenting with readers having just gone through cataract surgery which corrected my "far vision" but left me with no ability to focus close in. I had been wearing lined bifocals pre surgery but now I only need readers. I had thought that these glasses would act as half frames, but the straight bottoms to the lenses as opposed to curved half moon shapes of other half frames means that when I look down through the lenses I can see below the lenses that provides no correction. I am curious how these will fit in and meet my needs going forward. ... show more

For the money spent, these are the best eyeglasses for those of us who need a "little" vision help for smaller print. Nothing fancy, but they get the job done. If you see fine except at your favorite restaurant's menu, these are what you need. That is how I use them and now have four pair stationed at strategic places in my home, or vehicle, in case they are needed. Hope this helps. First of all, I like these glasses and I like the price. They're thin, comfortable and their strength seems accurate. Also, I can see clearly through them. I saw a lot of comments about the nose pads popping off and not being able to find replacements. Mine did come with a little ziplock bag with 4 replacements. It was at the very bottom of the box and I almost tossed them out. Update: I've been wearing this one same pair everyday now for a year and a half. I take them with me everywhere I go and I just carry them in my shirt pocket without the case. They are still going strong like new and neither of the nose guards have ever popped off. I still have the 2nd pair as a backup which so far I've never used. Love these readers!! ... show more

I received the items I ordered quickly and they were as expected. I purchased the half glasses w/case, SO much easier to keep in a handbag. The case keeps the glasses from getting damaged and helps keep them clean. I had a pair of these glasses and kept up with them for about 5 years, but if I remember correctly, I paid as much for that one pair as I just paid for two pairs from this retailer. I have ordered a set for my mother for Christmas. If I see my sisters-in-law squinting to read the gift tags this year, I'll be ordering additional sets for gifts next year. ... show more

I keep a set of these in my car until I forget to leave them there. Then when I'm out, I go to grab them, oops. I like that they are so compact. Be careful of the little nose pieces. I have a set that one got lost. Still wearable but these aren't really for long term wear anyways.
