They’re not great for long term skating or going out on the rink but they’re fantastic for outdoors on smooth surfaces, stores and malls where it’s allowed. My teen LIVES in these skates. Not only are they a blast for zooming around Costco and Home Depot, but they are her most comfortable shoes when in sneaker form. The brilliance lies in only having to kick the switch to have the wheels click in or out. They are pricey, but have been cute, durable, comfortable and so much fun! Had some issues with it not opening all the way, causing it to close unprompted, but the issues were small. They're fantastic for indoors and not too hard to stop in. I tried outside, but the ball bearings don't allow the wheel to spin as well as a regular pair of skates, so it takes more effort to move, plus the wheels are small so they don't go over cracks easy. If you have smooth terrain outside or are in airports often, these are def worth it! ... show more

The shoe itself is pretty good, being basically a roller skate. But there's definitely cons to it. They're very noisy, like a rubbery sound when you walk. They are definitely not meant for anything bit smooth floors. Very heavy too. It does great skating on smooth surfaces but the wheels take some muscle to put back it.
