I did not expect much at this price point. I love dot grid journals, and use them daily so I’m pretty selective about them. This notebook pleasantly surprised me! The cover is sturdy and color looks great, I got the light blue. There is a pen loop, pocket in the back cover, a band to keep the book closed as well as a ribbon page marker. The paper is a nice weight so ink doesn’t bleed through, and the size is juuuust right! It is a little bit thinner than some I’ve bought, but at this price point and with this quality, I find that perfect. I don’t want to try to jam several months into a single book. I would much rather keep a quarter worth of notes, to me that lines up better with how I goal set and track business. I am so happy with this book! ... show more

I bought this and another name brand journal at the same time. Both are hiqh quality and well constructed with quality paper. My preference has been this brand - it's a slightly thinner book and slides in and out of my bag much easier.

I love the color. The pages are perfectly dotted. The book is fairly light weight and the pages have a nice feel. I can't really speak for color bleeding because I only use a regular pen and a highlighter to write in mine. On some occasions, I'll put washy tape, stickers, etc in it but that's it.

I wanted to try bullet journaling, but didn't want to spend $30+ on a brand new Leuchtturm1917. I chose this dot grid journal for the price because I was buying two: one for myself and one for my pre-schooler. Basically, "Mommy and Me Bullet Journals." Because why not? No problem if it didn't work out because I wasn't spending a lot of money. I was pleasantly surprised! This journal is beautiful, the color is vibrant! I love the attached pen loop and bookmark. I love the pocket in the back. And compared to the Leuchtturm1917 dot grid I have (*not* the official Bullet Journal one) -- the paper of this cheap (!) dot grid journal is thicker! I'm not tearing out any pages; the cover itself is a thick card stock, maybe?, which I prefer over a softbound cover. I started this bullet journal on October 4th and it'll last me the month because I like to write so much. I think that's the only drawback. I was hoping to get October/November out of it but I'll just use up the Leuchtturm1917 I already started writing in and start with a brand new journal either in December or January. If I need a new journal in December, I'll be buying another one of these in a different color. It wasn't until I ordered this one that I noticed there are other options for journals with stickers or journals with stencils. The reason I'm buying this one, over the other choices, is because of the paper (both thickness and number of pages -- I love being able to COMPLETE a journal, amen!) AND because of the cover colors. I'd probably get another one for my daughter too because she's so cute practicing writing in her "planner" with me (I cherish her writing!). ... show more

I have used some of the big names in bullet journals in the past but I never stick with them. I have wanted to make a yearly reading journal for sometime but didn’t want to invest a time in a book that I might lose interest in continuing and came across this handy notebook. I have put this thing through the wringer for different markers and creating different spreads including a bunch of Dutch doors and it is holding up great! I have had big name journals have very loos pages after making large sections of Dutch doors and this notebook is putting them to shame. If you are looking to start bullet journaling this is a great journal to start out with and even if you are not new it’s a great affordable option! ... show more

High quality dotted grid journal with "open flat" design. Convenient and durable pen loop, closing strap and solid hardcover. Simple but effective design. The paper has a slightly yellow tint which gives it a softer feel. I write exclusively with fountain pens, and I have never had any issues with this high-quality paper [many "premium" paper journals out there are very different].
