I've created my own QR code scan in the past and placed it on a card but it requires the potential client's smartphone to have a QR Scanner app on the phone, pull it up and scan my card. The dot. Card just required me to tap it at the top of their iPhone or center of their Android screen. The ability to include my custom business logo and other feature on the dot. Business cards are fading out but there has not been a great way to share your contact info. Some phone users have blue tooth turned off, NFC, off and perhaps wifi. Dot cards can do NFC or via the unique QR code on the card to either wirelessly transfer your info or via the QR code let them download your contact info to their database of choice. (Apple contacts, Google contacts, etc.) These work great and people are impressed when they scan your dot card. Also no hidden fees or memberships to worry about.
