My favorite compliment in the world is to be told that I smell good - I have a very strong emotional tie to scent and it's important to me. I have a very large fragrance collection. A big part of that is that I'm a fruity, floral, light gourmand girl, but my husband prefers deeper, warmer, more complex fragrances. Because of that duality I have both types of fragrance in my collection and gravitate to the complex fragrances when I'm with him. When I read the description of "Dossier Slice of Heaven," I thought that this might be the perfect fragrance since the notes combine my love of fruity, floral, and vanilla with some of the notes he loves like musks, white woods, and patchouli. And I was right! We both love this! I was so excited when this arrived. It's packaged in a way that suggests a luxe fragrance that would cost much more than the list price of $38 at the time of this review. It's packaged in a beautiful box that is gift ready (although I'm going to use this until the last spray and will not be gifting it) and the glass bottle has heft and weight that just feels great in the hand. The cap is magnetic, and I love the little snap that happens when I replace it after spraying. As for the scent, it's yummy, sexy, mysterious, and SO long wearing. The fragrance itself is as complex as the notes. It starts with fruity sweetness, as it dries down I get more of the florals, but they are deeper, rich florals - not heavy, just sexy and evocative of lush exotic blooms. The final drydown is almost pure musk and woods - very very warm and comforting while still being lush and sensual. Throughout all of the stages I can smell the vanilla, it deepens and develops as it dries down, finishing with a caramel-y warmth that makes you want to put your nose against your arm and inhale at every step as it develops and deepens. This scent has fantastic longevity - only a few sprays and I can still smell it at the end of the day, but it doesn't have a lot of throw, which I consider a good thing. My perfume is for me and the people closest to me, I don't need or want people to be able to catch my scent from a room away, nor do I want to incite allergies or sensitivities in people. So I appreciate staying power over throw. This is a newish fragrance for me, but each time I've worn it I've received SO many compliments by those people who are in close contact with me. This is a fabulous value for a fragrance that feels and smells so absolutely luxe and that I absolutely love. I'm definitely going to be trying out some other Dossier fragrances now that I've seen what they are capable of. Based on how closely the notes match up to my experience of this fragrance I would not hesitate to blind buy from Dossier for my future fragrance purchases. Highly, HIGHLY recommend "Slice of Heaven" if you like these notes - and would tell you that based on my experience, if you find another fragrance from Dossier with notes that you love, you can trust it to smell exactly as it's described. LOVE THIS! I'd give it 50 Stars if I could!

Slice of Heaven opens fruity, sweet and slightly floral and green. After just a few minutes the floral notes begin to become more pronounced and take the lead. The mid is a mostly balanced mix of sweet, fruity and floral notes, with the floral character being slightly dominant. Once the fragrance settles into the drydown, musk becomes much more noticeable than at any other stage and the overall impression is a musky, floral and sweet scent, with a slight hint of a green note. The musk note is the one thing I don't like about the fragrance. Unfortunately, I don't smell vanilla or coffee at any point. I would say this fragrance is best for cooler weather, but could still be worn in warm weather, with a lighter application. It doesn't come off as gourmand or overly sweet, just a bit strong, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. From the notes, I was hoping this would be a unisex fragrance, but it is solidly feminine. I would enjoy smelling this on a woman. Longevity and projection are both pretty good. Initial projection in the first 2 hours is strong, with a good 10-15 foot scent trail. Around 4 hours projection is roughly arm's reach to 6 feet. After 6 hours, it's a more intimate, up close scent bubble. Around 8-10 hours, it's mostly a skin scent.

This perfume is a beautifully balanced blend of fruity and sweet notes with the right mix of woody scent, making it not overly sweet. At first, I wasn't sure if I would like it because I don't like the white floral, but I was pleasantly surprised; the white floral is doable for me in this bottle. It does last longer than I expected, which is good.

I really love this perfume!! It smells amazing, I couldn't be happier. It lasts pretty well, not all day but a bunch of hours. The bottle is beautiful and the scent is everything I want in a perfume.

Slice of heaven by Dossier is a sweet, warm and Gourmand scent. I always adore Dossier packaging and magnetic cap of their bottles. This scent is one of the Dossier original scent. I like this scent but I may not say that I love it. Its sweet, strong, intense and warm scent. Its a girlie scent with Vanilla along with some added spice in the begining. It then becomes little fruity with some citrus additiin and finally floral with Jasmine and Patchouli. If you like heavy and strong scents then you would definitely like it. It stays for quite some time and you dnt need to spray again and again. Price wise it's a great fragrance.

This is a very great smelling perfume. It's literally a slice of heaven. It's sweet and spicy. Perfect for spring, brunches, and picnics in the park.

I had no idea Dossier starting making their own signature scents! For context, I'm still a newbie to the perfume world, but I'm familiar with what notes I like and dislike. I tend to prefer fairly straightforward scents with warm, fruity, or lightly floral notes, and I usually avoid anything that's too gourmand or has too many strong notes at once (I tend to find those scents overwhelming). Based on this perfume's notes I would normally avoid it - caramel, coffee, vanilla, fruit, AND flowers? That's a lot of competing notes at once, and it's hard to imagine them combining into something cohesive. But to my surprise, Dossier combined these notes into a very wearable scent. This perfume is saved by its softness -- since everything kind of blends together instead of competing with one another, it doesn't get overwhelming. I get a fresh fruitiness, a warm, caramel-y sweetness (you'll know it's there but it's not overwhelming) and a vague waft of florals. It doesn't really stand out to me, but it's perfectly wearable and it always gets me compliments.
