    • A cheap and worthy handling upgrade
The Dorman rear sway bar kit is quite cheap yet makes a world of difference with how your vehicle handles. My Grand Marquis was one of the last made and did not come with a rear sway bar (shocking, I know). The bars are not too heavy and quite easy to lift up onto the underbelly of the car. The sway bar install goes quick if you have an electric 3/8 impact wrench, just zap those bolts and nuts in. I noticed a huge improvement when changing lanes at highway speeds, the body roll is greatly diminished so your vehicle is more stable when the roads are slick. This bolts right up to the car and doesn’t require any fabrication or bending. I recommend lifting up the car and supporting the rear part of the frame with jack stands to give yourself lots of room to put this sway bar in. ... show more

I had to spend $20 on 2 bolt bushing mounts and $30 on exhaust U bolt clamps to bolt it to the axle. It's crazy. There are holes in the frame just waiting for this to bolt in. There are guides in online forums, but it's pretty straight forward. It makes a difference in handling/roll without sacrificing ride, and it was very inexpensive. ... show more

    • Massive upgrade when you don't have a factory rear sway bar
This was a massive upgrade for my Grand Marquis without a factory sway bar. Massively improves drivability without have to spend a ton of money on expensive aftermarket sway bars. Included all the hardware and clips necessary, seems to be good quality and I had no fitment issues at all.

This bar really does a lot to improve the stability of the car without having a negative impact on the smoothness of the ride. The one thing that could be improved is the end links - they are not very easy to tighten because of the way the mounting point on the frame is configured. An end link design that simplified installation would make this a better product. ... show more

I bought this kit and a small biz local mechanic did the installation for me. The kit came with everything he needed for the installation and be said it bolted right on with no issues. The rear end of the car now feels much tighter and not like a sloppy sail boat when going around turns. I love driving my 2004 Vic again! Highly Recommended! ... show more
