  • Very good product
Works perfect for my 07 toyota tundra sr5 5.7 4x4

  • Quick install
I purchased this axel assembly for my 08’ Toyota Tundra so as to not having to waste my time pressing out then pressing in a replacement bearing. This was a very fast install. All I had to do was transfer over the parking brake shoes onto the backing plate. I was driving my vehicle after installing the axel within a hour and a half. This axel was an excellent buy. Saved me time and a lot of money. ... show more

  • Fit 2016 Tundra 4x4
All in all I’m glad purchased, the process of replacing the bearing would be several hours and require a press etc., that being said, disassembly and reassembly in home garage should be two hours or less for the average diyer. As mentioned above, the caliper attachment holes are TOO SMALL. Maybe older years had smaller bolts or something but these have to be drilled out. I got what I could with a 1/2” drill bit then used a grinder bit to eventually get the holes enlarged to the point where I could get the bolts through. Tough to do with the axle already on the truck. I also used a duralast seal from autozone instead of the one included. Cost 10 bucks. My suggestion would be to pull one of the caliper bolts and check before installing. Hopefully this saves someone the headache because it added at least 30-40 minutes to the install. But overall I took care of my wheel speed sensor issue and trucks good to go. ... show more

  • Caliper bolt holes too small; needed to be drilled out
Backing plate had a minor dent from shipping that was easily straightened. The seal & o-ring came with the axle; the two bags were twist tied to the backing plate. Used YouTube videos as a guide. Everything was going great with re-assembly until I went to bolt up the caliper. The bolts did not fit through the holes in the new assembly. The holes were roughly 1/2"; drilled them out to 9/16". Of course it would have been much easier if I had known that in advance. Drilling out the holes while the axle was standing on the floor would have been super easy. I was not pulling the axle to drill the holes. I had to cut off a 9/16" drill bit and then re-sharpen the stubby piece and put it in a right angle drill adapter in order to drill out the holes. Total time 4 hours (I'm 67yo). 2016 Tundra with 90k miles. I hope it lasts another 90k miles. Edit: Dec 2023 - Oil seal is leaking in less than 2 years. ... show more

  • Time saver
Amazing how fastest went together the norm for replacing this bearing is to buy all the individual pieces which require hydraulic press to remove the bearing and retainers, keeping it all together and making sure it fits back together. It’s not an easy task. Price was a little high but paid off in labor ... show more

  • Probably better than OEM drop in units
Just the highlights: Mine came with an o-ring and seal, but I bought Toyota seals and rings because they're better quality. * The dust shield was beaten almost square * The caliper mounting holes are too small. Get a 9/16 bit and a strong drill * The threads on two of the lug studs were galled to where I had to fix them with a file It still beats going through all the rigamarole of getting Toyota hubs installed.... but dang. ... show more

  • This is a time saver and makes the job much easier.
This cured the noisy, leaking, what was left to a badly rusted dust shield LH axle on a 2007 Tundra. Looks like a good quality part. Dorman has always been a trusted name, hopefully this follows suit... and if it does not they will stand behind it. The reason for 4 stars, as others have stated, o-ring and oil seal are not included. I called customer service and was told they could send them. This was not an option as the vehicle was disassembled in my service bay. I suggested the option of Amazon footing the bill for me to go to Toyota dealer and purchase the needed parts. Cus. Service rep said he could do that so I was refunded $25.00. Alls well ends well! ... show more
