I have a 2003 Silverado 4.8L Base standard cab that needed a new front main seal. Found out after removing the seal that there was a large hole (crack) on the timing cover which lead me to have to replace it. I received this replacement timing cover and it was a direct fit! Even came with a new front crankshaft oil seal too. No issues so far. Quality was pretty good and is made in china which is stamped right on the front. Comes with gasket attached to the cover.     • GM thinks you need a new one
GM thinks you need a new one but apparently only if you have need to remove it. I removed mine to replace the timing chain and oil pump as well as remove the oil pan. Fit was good!

Seems to be very similar to OEM part. Only thing I can think of thats negative for me is that its not just made in china, it clearly stated in raised letters for everyone to see. Not so bad I guess when you cover it with the water pump. But overall, happy with the part and the price.
