If you are struggling with the OBD code P1101, on a Chevy Cruze 2014 (and other years) get this Dorman set - intake manifold and valve cover. A poorly designed check valve in the OEM intake manifold leads to the P1101 code. The failed check valve will then lead to a damaged PCV valve that is molded in your valve cover. Replacing your OEM intake manifold with this improved design from Dorman, should resolve your P1101 code. I recommend replacing the valve cover at the same time. These Dorman parts are good quality and fit just like the OEM components. It's good to see parts suppliers finding the design flaws in OEM parts and coming up with better designed parts. HEAVEN SENT!!!! This part honestly helped fix my codes in my car and stopped the rough idling after the check engine light. Only took my boyfriend about 2 hours to replace it, so I'd so it's pretty easy to replace!

Had no real problems installing this and fit perfectly with no leaks. I did replace the thinner small vac hose that comes with the manifold with some thicker hose. Had this for about a year now. Will have to wait and see if it holds up to fix the factory defect in the stock GM factory manifolds.

Honest and fast — this is what you expected to be. Durability is good, instructions is clear, but I used additionally YouTube video, because it’s my first car job. And it was absolutely successful! I’ve never repair something like this before (maximum light bulb and oil change lol). No leaks! Oh and totally forgot — YES, check engine went off. Just after turning on. Buick Encore bought used, was 1/2 qt low at 66,000 miles on first oil change of ownership. Watched video. Realized valve cover pvc diaphragm was blown. Found out the pvc opening in the intake manifold was a common defect that ruins the valve cover diaphragm. This was causing the oil consumption. Bought this three pieces set of Dorman replacement parts with corrected intake manifold, valve cover and pvc hose. Bought it on sale and saved $175 over parts store for same kit.
