This is your basic kit, it does the job and it comes with a throne. There are some annoying things to consider: I don't like how short the kit is. My knees are constantly getting in the way and I'm only 5'7". It's slightly too big for my 3 year old and spot on for my 8 year old. Also, the small pads make it easy to hit the rim if you aren't accurate. It has decent sound, songs to built in for practice, and 15 different kit sounds. ... show more

A really great and versatile kit with tons of built-in features. As others have mentioned, it is a little in the short side. Might need to raise a little for anyone over 5’3”. The kit is easy to put together, comes with a few spare screws, looks great, feels sturdy, and works well! My only two negative notes have to do with the size of the drum heads and the headphones that come with the kit. The drum heads are pretty small. Not sure if that’s common for electric drum kits, but definitely smaller than the heads you’d find on an acoustic snare and toms. While the rest of the kit seems to be really high quality, the headphones included look and feel cheap. They actually ***ARRIVED BROKEN,*** which was a bit of a bummer, but I managed to find and use another set I typically use for gaming. Even if the headphones weren’t broken though, the cord on the headphones is pretty short, and I doubt I’d be able to use them without getting the cord tangled while drumming. ... show more

doesn’t matter how hard you hit the drum pads it only matters where, had to replace a cymbal because it shipped broken, the spring in the kick drum pedal and the hi-hat pedal are way too weak, the drum-set is too small for an adult or a teenager, it is probably a lot better for a young kid, the chair didn’t adjust and it made my back hurt, but it is pretty good for the price. This set has an amazing sound quality. Much better than I anticipated. My only reason for not giving all categories a 5 star rating, was the installation instructions were very over simplified. The instructions were pretty much start here , see this, now your done. Not really a good guide, especially if a child were to be building their set. It was a great buy for my son, we did have faulty wires but the company was so good and fast to replace it. They were so kind and every step of the way they communicated with we to let me know they were in it. My son loves the set and I was very glad they took care of us

Compared to other projects, this was relatively easy to put together. My son is 17 and 5’9” and it’s a good fit for him. It also fits nicely in his room and the wire headphones are a nice distance as well for his height. We did add an amp for some fun on the weekends and to get away from the headphones sometimes. He enjoys it immensely and his music teacher has a similar setup along with a traditional drum set for lessons. We've had this set for about a month. ... show more

I have been looking for an electronic drum set for quite some time. I have tried several over the years. I decided to give this kit a shot. The first one I ordered was faulty but Donner stepped up and sent me a new kit. Works just fine. Here are my notes: the bass and hi-hat pedals would be a lot better if they had dynamic response. It's as if they just have a simple contact switch. Which is fine for the cost. Second are the samples. Some of them sound a little dated but that's fine if you were just practicing with this kit. Overall quality is good. I wish there was a way to upload my own samples but that's okay. I might try and see if I can use it as a USB midi trigger. ... show more
