This was a great weekend project! I ended up using my own brushes just due to preference. Be advised paintings like this will never turn out exactly like the picture advertised but I think that’s kind of a plus because it will be YOUR version :)

I feel that this kit is for intermediary to advanced painters due to a lot of very tiny spots that you will need a magnifying glass to stay in the lines. The kit had nice smooth paint and plenty of it, however it was folded into eighths and there were some creases that didn't want to iron out but weren't very noticeable once the project was done. A lot of the hues were a liitle different from the finished project photo, as it turned out a bit brighter in spots than I anticipated. #3 color was a cool gray instead of a warm gray being the most noticeable, but visually blends in well in a low lit room. Some spots are also missing numbers, but if you look at the little photo you should be able to figure out what color it is by the others near it. But overall it turned out quite pretty and I am pleased with it. ... show more

I tried the first color of paint and it was fine. The remaining colors were dried out. Unable to continue. Soooooo disappointed

I painted this for my father, who loves fish. I was afraid I would get bored with all the bland colors, but I really enjoyed painting it. It’s more gray than pictured. Nice paint and brushes.

Adjust expectations for this pbn. Not a beginners project. Common complaints apply: - Folded canvas (use warm iron and wrinkle release on backside) - same sad brushes - colors don't quite match picture I painted over character symbols, just couldn't see the lines clearly enough. Had to work really hard on those fish scales. Looks nice in a light grey frame. ... show more
