I read a lot of reviews and chose this one. It app-eats to be definitely the best product in this general price range. It comes-with a number of useful extras, and in using there is no pain whatsoever, there are no disturbing loud noises or vibrations. And it really works! I actually bought two sets one for my dogs and one for myself. I use it myself while I was watching TV and even after one session, my teeth really looked market better after one easy, painless treatment, Chihuahuas are skittish. I only got to do a little work with them for this reason. I spent about a week preparing their meals by making sure that their gums were in as good shape possible by using the mouse on Amazon. I will go back to trying it again with the dogs , I think this time I will probably give them a little melatonin first and mixed in peanut butter to help them relax. Again, the treatments are neither noisy nor painful, but they frighten easily by having things stuck in their mouth so I'll try to make it as easy as possible for all of us . ... show more

I really like this a lot. I love the feature that makes it so it doesn’t vibrate until touching the surface of the tooth. Trying to get my dog used to it is another story. I don’t like that it’s not waterproof. Kind of defeats the purpose. But overall it’s an awesome product for the price.

The sonic plaque remover works really well, I've managed to scrape off a good chunk of gunk from my dog's teeth. The only drawback is that it makes a really high pitched sound that both of us hate (equivalent to a fork scraping across a plate). My dog is good about staying still, but he can only handle the sound for about 30 seconds before starting to shake. I have to take many breaks. The sound might really distress other dogs, though, so just a heads up. ... show more

As others have mentioned, this is a truly effective product that is worth every penny…..if your dog allows you to do it. My dog hates toothbrushes and even doggy dental wipes. However, she calmly waited and allowed me to clean the front side of her top two canines, despite the screeching noises because I had it set on high. It was truly miraculous how all of the gray tartar came off like nothing. She even let me start cleaning the front side of her back most teeth before I was the one that got tired and said “that’s enough, we’ll pick back up tomorrow.” I do expect the back side of the teeth to be trickier, even with the mirror they provide. You do have to have a wet paper towel or something on hand to wipe off all of the tartar that comes loose. However, this product is absolutely worth every penny. ... show more
