I ordered a large sized dog pad. I previously ordered a different dog bed for my medium dog that was large and it was much smaller than this one. For this bed, when they wrote large they meant large. Its almost half the length of my table and slightly large in width(as seen in the pictures). Since it is a pad for a crate it isn't that thick, I would say it's about 2 inches thick but does sink in so it's more like a mat. It was well package in a small box and simple to unravel. Although the bag that keeps it from expanding was a little difficult to get off it wasnt nothing too bad that even a key can be used to cut it open. It's reaaallly soft that even my little brother gets on it. The grips on the bottom are great too! Barely moves when you walk on it, jump on it, or try to slide on it. I might even have to get another one due to it. It is a little shiny but with the material it's made, it's to be expected l. Just make sure to wash it on cold and tumble dry it or air dry it. I tossed this on the floor, thinking my Husky would ignore it, like most things, but she absolutely LOVES it. She was on it and laying down within seconds of it hitting the floor! I will have to wait to assess whether or not it is "chew proof" (she is already trying), but she is definitely happy.

Got this for my puppy she loved it as soon as I set it down she payed down. Sleeps in it almost every night since I bought it. Would recommend for even bigger dogs as you can see she is pretty big

This is okay quality, but it's actually a pretty good value. The material is a little thin on top but it is super soft. There are some grip dots on the bottom to try to keep it in place. It is a decent thickness. It fit perfect. I have a very large dog crate and pads can get pricey, and a lot of similar quality but are so much more expensive, so this is a really good value. I like that it can be washed. This material, the long soft strands, may not stay as fluffy over multiple washing. I'm not sure but I have had experience with similar material before. But it is still soft and has a decent thickness, and it is so nice to be able to toss it in the wash. Is it the best quality? No. Is it still a decently good crate pad for a good price, especially if you need the larger sizes? Absolutely yes. I would definitely recommend this as a nice pad and a good value. Just don't expect absolute great quality for the price, but for what it is and how much it is it's a good value. I feel like it's worth it. This fluffy mat came vacuum packed in a roll in the tiniest box, practically rock hard. Once I got it unwrapped, it sprang to life and the dog settled onto it, right on the floor. He's been on it most of the time, since. One vote in the affirmative. So to describe the mat, the corners are boxed, making it stand evenly, about 2" thick. The slate grey fuzz, silky and as soft as a tiny Shih Tzu, is about 1.25" long and sewn in stripes at 0.25" intervals between which you can see the substrate, a tough woven nylon (or something like that). I was surprised to see the substrate so clearly, but it doesn't matter. Yes, it shows here and there depending on the direction the fuzz is rubbed, but it does't detract. The bottom has little nonskid dots on a smooth, black, substrate. Overall, the mat is very lightweight, and though wants to lie flat, easily folds and bends. Inside is a poly fiber sheet that really puffs up. I ordered the largest mat, and there are 6 blind tufts pinning the top to the bottom so the batting doesn't shift. I imagine it will compress over time, but it is quite plush at the moment. I was planning on putting it in the car so the dog has a cozy pad. The silkiness makes me think the dog may slip on it when the car stops suddenly, but since car mat isn't the intended purpose, I won't remove a star. Two votes in the affirmative. ... show more

Added this to our puppy crate once he was old enough to stop having accidents in there. Only complaint is I wish it was a little thicker/had a little bit of support in it. But it is soft and the fluff is cute.

I’ve gone to a pop-up pen instead of separate crates this winter, but I still ordered a pad to fit my crates should it be necessary. No sooner had I extracted the mat from its small box and dropped it on the floor than Maxx, Lefty, and Coco took to it and immediately flopped down in luxury. Three happy dogs mean one happy me. These old outdoor dogs can be quite destructive since they are used to making nests from both dirt and straw. They have dug and pawed and tugged in order to fold it to their liking: so far it has withstood these clumsy arrangements without damage. The washing instructions call for the gentle cycle and tumbling dry with low heat. It was difficult to get them off long enough to wash it, but it cleaned up well enough once I did and the dogs rushed back to their favorite comfy pad. This mat fits my cocker spaniel’s kennel perfectly. The filling is soft and the top fabric is a luxurious plush shag. The bottom has non-slip dots. I especially like that this mat can be machine-washed and dried. It is a very good value. The box included the mat in a vacuum-sealed bag for space saving and increased hygiene. Open the bag and it springs to life. (See pic) Gracie loves this mat in her “condo” and I’m sure your dog would too.
