This is the perfect chair for my husband, who is a big guy. It's roomy and sturdy. He loves it. I've had a smaller version of this chair for years but he always resisted getting one suitable for himself, saying that a standard folding camp chair was good enough for him. Finally, when we were stuck outside in blazing sun longer than expected one day, he didn't feel well and had to accept our son's offer to switch his canopied chair for my husband's standard chair. This is a great, comfortable chair. Very sturdy. A bit cumbersome to get it in and out of its self-contained case, but once it's up, it's awesome. It is a bit heavy. I wish it had wheels instead of shoulder straps. Great value for the money. Unfortunately, I had to return it because the venue I purchased it for did not allow canopies or attached umbrellas to the chair. ... show more

I love this chair so much! It was a great purchase for comfort and shade! Great quality large canopy. I used it to have shade on the beach for our infant and could breastfeed him with privacy. Very easy to carry, to set up, and to fold up.

This is a GREAT chair - the only issue I found is the 2 bars that hold up the canopy won't go wide/outward to prop the canopy up/wide and makes it droop a little. I feel like there should have been a sideways bar that holds them apart once the canopy is propped up? 🤷🏻♂️ If you push the 2 bars apart, you'll see what I mean. If you live anywhere the sun can fry you, get this chair. I've purchased multiple canopy chairs over the years. Some barely survive a year. All of them required constant readjusting to avoid getting baked alive. 4 months in, thru one of the hottest summers on record, and I LOVE this thing! The top is NOT some flimsy fabric, but it's actually thick poly nestled between TWO layers of heavy duty canvas. It curves down on the sides and extends to cover your knees in the front. Plus, it has roll down flaps (top part screened for breeze and vision) on both sides and the back. They provide shade as you need no matter where the sun is. It's sturdy. Like EXCEPTIONALLY sturdy with a sufficiently wide, comfortable seat. It has a neat way of folding up too. The top slides down the back and the rest of the chair folds and fits into it with handy backpack for straps for carrying ease. One word of warning. The top is very solid. So if it's windy (gusts over 15 mph) and you leave it outside, it WILL fly backwards. Still..10/10 would highly recommend. UPDATE: Aug 2025 STILL FANTASTIC. No rips or tears. No fading from the harsh Sun or ruination from the rain. It's outside in the tropics and I only bring it in during tropical storms or hurricanes. I found a way to leave it outside even if it's a little windy. I do it with a bungee attached to the lower metal part at the front of the chair and if it's going to be gusty outside I just stretch the bungee from the chair to one of those hooks you use for a dog's leash that you can screw into the ground pretty deep.. so far haven't blown my chair away! 😃 ... show more

one of the best investments I've made this year! Super light weight so it isn't too much of a hassle to carry, but its super sturdy. The shade top is great and my favorite part is how EASY it is to fold up and down. No need to push or hold anything down, just simply pull the shade top up or push it down. The only thing I could nitpick is that the one I selected only has one cup holder, for convenience reasons, that would be the only thing I could think to improve is to add two or a larger cup holder. Other than that, I've gotten many compliments on it, this char is a whole vibe!! ... show more

Bought this for my mother in law who’s had some skin cancer spots and hates sun exposure but loves to be at her grandkids sports games. We’re in Florida and cook on the sidelines so sun shades are a must. And god forbid you’re the person with the huge umbrella over your chair blocking other people’s view of their child’s performance, ohmagawd. So these chairs with built in sunshades on top and on the sides are a clever solution. 10/10 for sun protection but she said it was too heavy for her to haul so she flipped it on fb marketplace. I would have gladly taken it off her hands and kept it for myself because I do Pilates and have the upper body strength of a farm animal. We love this chair so much we had to buy another one, so we could stop fighting over it. It is so lightweight and easy to carry as a backpack to and from a baseball game, or your favorite fishing spot, or outdoor event. I use it for baseball games and it is a lifesaver during those sunny hot days. I also love that the canopy protects me from foul balls! safety first! haha. But really -this is the best.
