Spouse is wheelchair bound tho can transfer minimally. However he uses his feet to propel his chair as much as hands (brain injury/then surgery took away all balance ) so good shoes are a must. These were needed to replace ones that simply didn't look new any longer Spouse is a 9wide which is what we ordered and these are completely true to size. The elastic goring helps the fit so much but is virtually undetectable which was a requirement for his dress shoes. Worn out if the box to a New Orleans outdoor wedding -after six and a half hours no foot fatigue, no red pinch marks and no blisters. These were beyond comfortable he reports so much so that he wishes to pick up another color if available since the black ones are so great. The sole is thicker and more visible "rubber" looking than true dress shoes we felt but the payoff for comfort was worth it as you can't even see the thicker than usual soles when wearing Inside the foam and arch support is just right for average arches to medium flat feet we believe. Couldn't recommend them more as he found these much more Comfortable than his Cole Haans even and Ralph Lauren older dress shoes.

I had purchased this show previously in a department store, and was upset to see that they quit carrying that shoe. So like any good brand loyal person does, I went to the internet, and found exactly the same shoe on Amazon! I was nervous that it was going to be a little different than the department store shoe, but it was exactly the same. No different at all. This is a great shoe. Its VERY comfortable, and obviously easy to wear. You can dress it up or down. It's just a great multi-purpose shoe. Some people may think it's a cheap shoe since it's inexpensive, but I have really beat up my old pair, wearing it almost daily for the last year, and they are still in great shape. Nothing even remotely beginning to fall apart. I wear dress shoes EVERY day and I have not found a shoe I love this much. I highly recommend this shoe!

The shoe fits fairly well as described. If anything, it’s slightly bigger than others that I own in a similar size. It is a slightly wider, more basic design of a dress shoe. Not quite as high end looking. Just an average dress shoe. They are pretty comfortable and have lasted well over the past six months of daily use. Would recommend if you were in this price point.

This is updated from a previous review. Both the Dockers Franchise slip-on in Mahogany in July 2015; love them so much I got the black version May 2016. It took 4 1/2 years for the soles to start wearing down excessively; the brown ones have grown subtle holes in one shoe so my foot gets wet in rain or snow. The black one has almost gotten to that point now too. I was going to give three stars to them but had to go to my order history to see how long they lasted; for online shoes with rubber soles that can't be replaced, these were DEFINITELY worth the prices paid. The only problem I have now is this: The mahogany ones aren't sold anymore, and the quality of the new versions have degenerated [according to other reviewers]; I'm in a bit of a pickle, because these Dockers slip-on loafers have been the best shoes for my comfort and best fitting of any slip-ons I've ever worn. Still, it's worth a chance 4 yrs later.

I hate shopping for shoes. I just don't have time for it. I was very happy to realize I could buy these on Amazon. I bought a pair of these at a retail store several years ago and found them really comfortable. I am on my feet all day with my job and wear these 10-12 hours at a time. I have never had any issues with comfort. They seem to have good arch support and just the right amount of cushion in the soles to keep my feet from hurting. I generally get about a years wear out of these before I wear through the rubber on the heels. I am currently wearing the 3rd pair I have ordered here. Pros: Extremely comfortable I can wear these all day without any foot fatigue Good arch support Stylish Cons: After about a year of heavy use, the rubber on the bottom of the heels tends to wear through exposing little hollow areas. I usually notice this when I hear small pieces of gravel rattling around inside when I walk. Overall I would recommend these to anyone and I will continue to buy them again. Very happy not to go shoe shopping again.

I usually wear Bostonian shoes and buy them from a local retailer. I found these shoes at that retailer but decided to check Amazon's price. Amazon was about $25 less and the retailer wouldn't match the price so I went with Amazon. Overall these are very comfortable shoes but the quality is JUNK. First of all, I have an office job and don't do a lot of walking in these shoes. When I wore Bostonians I worked on a concrete sales floor standing for 9 hours a day and never had an issue with them. In my current job I sit at a desk all day but they still wore out after 6 months. Although they feel comfortable, the soles are trashed. The right shoe has a crack all away across the ball of the foot and the left shoe has a hole in the heel. Again, this is from the wear and tear associated with sitting at a desk all day. What upsets me more is the fact that Amazon won't take these back after you've owned them for 30 days. If I were to buy it from a local retailer I could easily get them exchanged or even get store credit for a different brand. I am a HUGE Amazon fan but didn't realize that their clothing return policy was not so great. It's my fault for not researching that on my own. But I assumed that the company that owned Zappos would have a better policy for poorly made products like these shoes. The lesson is that you get what you pay for. These were $50 and my Bostonians were $150. I'm not trying to bash Amazon, I just want to let people know that these are not quality shoes and to spend a little more money on a nicer pair if you want them to last more than 6 months.
