    • Secure, comfortable platforms
These pedals have performed well during a month of heavy riding on my single speed. They are spacious and provide solid footing without seeming at all cumbersome, and I appreciate that the spindle is entirely below the platform surface rather than creating a bulge under the foot as in some platform pedals. The pins are grippy but comfortable even with thin-soled shoes, and my feet have stayed securely in place through hard climbs, rough roads, and wet weather. Spinning action is smooth—the pedals will come to a stop on their own but there is next to no noticeable resistance when turning them. The magnesium version do not feel feather-light but also not inordinately heavy, and they seem quite sturdy so far. ... show more

The have really good grip. I use them with an older pair of New Balance running shoes and the pedals have really nice bite into the soles. Large platform is great for my size 17 shoes.

So far, so good with these pedals. I did a ton of research before I purchased these. These are the closest pedals I was able to find to match the Shimano DX pedals I used for years and loved. I would consider these the modern version. They are strong, lightweight and grippy enough to where I don't feel like I'll slip a pedal but can still move my foot around comfortably.Great pedals. ... show more
