  • Comfortable, Light Weight
Size: 9.5 Color: 19009-darkgreygradient
These water/beach shoes are very light weight (11.4 oz for both shoes), flexible, comfortable, and work well both on land and in the water. The shoe has a thin, removable waffle insole which has a mesh cover that prevents sand from entering your foot bed from the holes at the bottom of the shoe (for water drainage) and up through the insole. This is a good thing since nothing is more irritating to your feet than sand trapped between your bare foot and a cinched up shoe against your wet skin, rubbing against you like sandpaper or sand/grit between your toes. Traction is quite good as well. The soles are textured and grooved for grip on slippery surfaces. The material of the sole is on the softer side so I do not think they will hold up well in the long run for use on pavement or hard surfaces alone but given how inexpensive these shoes are you can afford to wear them out prematurely of you wanted to do so. I got these for use at the beach, when walking on hot sand where going barefoot isn't an option, and to wade into the rocky, broken seashell beds of these beaches. The lightweight mesh material of the upper shoe breathes very well. This airflow will help the shoe's mesh material dry quickly, while the foam insole, made of non-water absorbable materials, will dry out quickly as well, especially with the water drain holes at the bottom of the shoe's sole providing additional air flow/ventilation. They run true to size, FYI, so pick out the size in the same you wear for your street shoes/sneakers. ... show more

  • Good design and performance
Size: 13 Color: 19009darkgray
I use these shoes for launching kayaks from concrete and gravel boat ramps, so this review is based on those uses. Compared to several other water shoes I have tried, these have the best support and sole thickness. I can walk on large gravel without pain in my sensitive feet. They look about like a normal shoe unlike a lot of the water shoes out there. The fit seems to be about true to the size listed. The elastic drawstring allows you to customize the fit, and slide on and off easily. The insole also has drains so all water runs out completely unlike any others I have tried. I had no water in my floorboard after getting in and out of my vehicle. They did have a very strong chemical smell when opened. I left them outside for 3 days and don't notice it now. I don't know about sand, but for the purposes I mentioned, I think they are about as good as you can get for the price range. ... show more

  • perfect for sail boats
Size: 8 Color: 19009darkgray
I got these for a Caribbean sailboat charter. Much higher quality than I anticipated for the price. The worked perfect for the trip and then I started wearing them around the neighborhood to walk the dog (easy on off and comfortable). I was politely asked by my daughters to stop wearing them around the neighborhood. Apparently, these are not fashionable for middle aged men to wear in public. I also took it on a fishing charter where it rained. These got soaked for the entire trip and I wished I had put on something waterproof. At the beach, sand tends to get into the shoe which is not great. Net take away: Good quality for the price. Perfect for boats/occasional water intrusion where they can dry quickly. Not great for long term water exposure or walking on the sand. ... show more

  • Great value - these are durable and reasonably comfortable
Size: 11 Color: Allblack
These shoes are reasonably priced for the value I get from them. I plan to go on an international trip where there's a lot of time at an in the water, and I trust these shoes based on my experience at home so far. I wore around the house a couple of days when I first got them. They did fine and were comfortable. I didn't do anything adventurous in these shoes. I think my shoes look great. They fit around my feet well. I'm not sure where to best put the pull-string when I have the shoes cinched on my feet - I decided to tuck the pull string under the furthest point where the string crosses my feet towards the toes. Seems to work OK to keep the pull string from flopping around. I wore these out kayaking last weekend. Wet for five hours, 3.5 of that being in and out of the water or on the kayak. These shoes were comfortable all throughout. They also did not slip on my feet when I walked in out out of water and had good traction in the water. I've observed that though the water drains quickly from these shoes, they still take quite a while to dry out. So your feet will still be in wet shoes potentially hours after these shoes were splashed by or were in water. The upper fabric and the insole seem to say wet like ordinary light-weight shoes do. I included a photo of my foot right after removing the shoes after returning home from kayaking. I'd been out of the water for 1.5 hours and the shoes were still damp. The point of the photo is to show that the strings that secure the shoes hold the shoes in this way to the feet. The pressure is where the strings are, and is not distributed evenly. This might look like it'd be uncomfortable, but actually it was not. The reason might be because the strings are stretchy. When I first put on the shoes, I adjust the pull tension once or twice after initially cinching down the pull strings. The purpose is to get the shoes tight enough, but not so tight that those strings would press too hard into the foot. In summary, I recommend these shoes based on my experience so far. They seem durable and comfortable, enough that I feel confident to rely on them for my 2 weeks coming in the waters of SE Asia. ... show more

  • awesome all purpose shoes
Size: 12 Color: Light Gray
bought these shoes to wear for a week in Disney World. they passed with flying colors and I've been wearing them all summer. they're incredibly comfortable shoes with or without socks. the drawstring works perfect and stays tight. the fabric is comfortable and they are true to size. after about 15k steps in a day, they'll definitely make your feet tired - they're not a perfect replacement for tennis shoes if doing long distances. but they're very light and breathable and supportive. where my feet will sweat in regular shoes, they feel nice and breezy in these. I'm very surprised how well they've held up for the price. I would 100% buy another pair of these if my current ones ever actually wear out. ... show more
