Should I Buy It?

Yes, if you're planning on engaging in water sports or activities and need comfortable, versatile footwear. The shoes offer great value for the price, although be prepared to deal with the downsides, such as gravel getting stuck in the drainage holes and potential discomfort on longer walks.

  • Great value - these are durable and reasonably comfortable
Size: 11 Color: Allblack
These shoes are reasonably priced for the value I get from them. I plan to go on an international trip where there's a lot of time at an in the water, and I trust these shoes based on my experience at home so far. I wore around the house a couple of days when I first got them. They did fine and were comfortable. I didn't do anything adventurous in these shoes. I think my shoes look great. They fit around my feet well. I'm not sure where to best put the pull-string when I have the shoes cinched on my feet - I decided to tuck the pull string under the furthest point where the string crosses my feet towards the toes. Seems to work OK to keep the pull string from flopping around. I wore these out kayaking last weekend. Wet for five hours, 3.5 of that being in and out of the water or on the kayak. These shoes were comfortable all throughout. They also did not slip on my feet when I walked in out out of water and had good traction in the water. I've observed that though the water drains quickly from these shoes, they still take quite a while to dry out. So your feet will still be in wet shoes potentially hours after these shoes were splashed by or were in water. The upper fabric and the insole seem to say wet like ordinary light-weight shoes do. I included a photo of my foot right after removing the shoes after returning home from kayaking. I'd been out of the water for 1.5 hours and the shoes were still damp. The point of the photo is to show that the strings that secure the shoes hold the shoes in this way to the feet. The pressure is where the strings are, and is not distributed evenly. This might look like it'd be uncomfortable, but actually it was not. The reason might be because the strings are stretchy. When I first put on the shoes, I adjust the pull tension once or twice after initially cinching down the pull strings. The purpose is to get the shoes tight enough, but not so tight that those strings would press too hard into the foot. In summary, I recommend these shoes based on my experience so far. They seem durable and comfortable, enough that I feel confident to rely on them for my 2 weeks coming in the waters of SE Asia. ... show more

  • These shoes are a game-changer!
Size: 12 Color: 19009yellowgradient
I swim at an indoor pool on a weekly basis and these shoes are a game-changer. Even though wet pool deck tiles are anti-slip, I played it safe and would take baby steps when in my bare feet...like a dog walking on kitchen ceramic tile. Now I feel safe walking at a quicker pace and with a longer stride throughout the locker room, shower, pool & hot tub areas. Also, the 18-foot hot tub has multiple filtration obstacles on the bottom where I would stub my toe, but no more. I do not wear them in the water to swim, but if I were taking an aqua-exercise class I would. I could kick myself for not knowing about 'water shoes' in the 14 years since I started swimming. ... show more

  • Comfortable and doesn’t mark up the boat hull
Size: 10.5 Color: Light Gray#
Husband bought these prior to a week long sailing trip. He wore them pretty much the whole time on and off the boat. Wading thru bay water, on the beach, and on the sailboat. They breath very well, allowing your feet to dry quickly. Easy to rinse sand out of, even when wearing them. After the 4th day of the trip, his feet got a little raw, but that would be expected in any shoe. The treads have deep holes. Mud got stuck in there pretty easy, and tracked on the boat deck. But not a big deal. ... show more

  • Tidepooling
Size: 10 Color: Green
We have pebbly beaches. I’ve tried water sandals and water shoes. The sandals shed the water but let in small rocks that hurt my feet. The water shoes keep out the rocks but didn’t drain well and I’d slosh all the way home. These shoes seemed to combine the best of both and they worked as hoped during a recent low tide: the pebbles stayed out, the water drained away and I felt secure on the wet rocks and sea grass. They’re a little stiff and scratchy. I wouldn’t take these for a long walk as I don’t think they’d be comfortable or durable for distance, but they’ll be good for summer tidepooling. ... show more

  • Great wet or dry
Size: 9.5 Color: 19009darkgray
I bought these for a deep sea fishing trip and they are great. Very inexpensive but seem to be well made. I wore them for 8 hrs for our trip and they were great both wet and dry. I have also worn them recently when pressure washing my deck. They were perfect for that. They dry quickly and you do t have water sloshing in your shoes when wet. Highly recommend these for anything where your feet would get wet ... show more

  • Love this shoe
Size: 11 Color: Grayblue
This is my 4th pair. I love them! Machine washable, very comfortable, has an arch support. To be noted, these are water shows and porous. I wear them all summer but you have to remember puddles are get your feet wet and when walking on gravel some small stones will get caught in the holes. Easily removed. ... show more

  • Water Shoes with Support
Size: 9.5 Color: Dark Gray#
My husband wore these for long walks around Mission Beach. He said they were very comfortable to walk in and didn't get too much sand in them. I was wearing a different type of water shoe and they filled up with sand and weren't comfortable at all. He recommended them so highly I bought the women's version for myself! ... show more

  • Good, with a few caveats
Size: 10.5 Color: Light Grey
I bought these for a recent trip to Hawaii, and overall, they worked well. Water did drain out of them super fast, due to the holes in the sole. They were easy to put on and comfortable. However, I did have to walk on gravel and a bunch of rocks got stuck in the holes in the soles that are there for drainage. It didn't hurt or cause any real problems, but it was annoying to work the rocks out of the holes. Also, those same holes also allowed water to wick up onto my feet if I walked on damp pavement. If you are ok with the above, then these will be great shoes for you. ... show more
