These shoes are reasonably priced for the value I get from them. I plan to go on an international trip where there's a lot of time at an in the water, and I trust these shoes based on my experience at home so far. I wore around the house a couple of days when I first got them. They did fine and were comfortable. I didn't do anything adventurous in these shoes. I think my shoes look great. They fit around my feet well. I'm not sure where to best put the pull-string when I have the shoes cinched on my feet - I decided to tuck the pull string under the furthest point where the string crosses my feet towards the toes. Seems to work OK to keep the pull string from flopping around. I wore these out kayaking last weekend. Wet for five hours, 3.5 of that being in and out of the water or on the kayak. These shoes were comfortable all throughout. They also did not slip on my feet when I walked in out out of water and had good traction in the water. I've observed that though the water drains quickly from these shoes, they still take quite a while to dry out. So your feet will still be in wet shoes potentially hours after these shoes were splashed by or were in water. The upper fabric and the insole seem to say wet like ordinary light-weight shoes do. I included a photo of my foot right after removing the shoes after returning home from kayaking. I'd been out of the water for 1.5 hours and the shoes were still damp. The point of the photo is to show that the strings that secure the shoes hold the shoes in this way to the feet. The pressure is where the strings are, and is not distributed evenly. This might look like it'd be uncomfortable, but actually it was not. The reason might be because the strings are stretchy. When I first put on the shoes, I adjust the pull tension once or twice after initially cinching down the pull strings. The purpose is to get the shoes tight enough, but not so tight that those strings would press too hard into the foot. In summary, I recommend these shoes based on my experience so far. They seem durable and comfortable, enough that I feel confident to rely on them for my 2 weeks coming in the waters of SE Asia. ... show more

I bought these for a recent trip to Hawaii, and overall, they worked well. Water did drain out of them super fast, due to the holes in the sole. They were easy to put on and comfortable. However, I did have to walk on gravel and a bunch of rocks got stuck in the holes in the soles that are there for drainage. It didn't hurt or cause any real problems, but it was annoying to work the rocks out of the holes. Also, those same holes also allowed water to wick up onto my feet if I walked on damp pavement. If you are ok with the above, then these will be great shoes for you. ... show more

One of the most comfortable shoes I've enjoyed wearing. The bottoms feel like a high density marshmallow! I can stomp on concrete and barely make a sound or feel a thing. Have walked on rocks and shoreline with no issue to my feet or damaging the shoe. They wash really easy and dry fast. I measured my foot and ordered the closest size, rounding up. Fit is perfect and they stretch out a little with wear. They are WATER shoes, so expect your feet to get wet. They are have drain holes all throughout the inside and bottom (you can actually see through the shoe) that let water out, but also let water in. Don't wear with socks and expect to stay dry if you step in a small puddle. I'd definitely buy again ... show more

I absolutely love these shoes. Extremely comfortable, non restricting and work fantastic either walking in water or on the road. They actually look good as a casual shoe going out too. But.... Only downside is taking these for a hike. They're not overly durable. I've only worn these 5 times and parts are already starting to fall apart (photo). Also walking on gravel/rocks is a pain as the little ones get stuck inside the sole of the shoe and now you're walking around with a rock in your heel. ... show more

These water shoes are an excellent choice for the price! I wore my newly acquired shoes on a boat trip from Cancun to Isla Mujeres. I have constant foot pain. Played rugby when I was younger. Broke many toes. Three years ago I broke both feet, but my lifestyle made it unable for me to have surgery to fix them. I basically wear Merrell shoes and boots exclusively. These shoes are extremely light. BUT! The sole is very supportive and cushioned really well. Almost like wearing Crocs. Beach and pool side . I went on an 8 day cruise I use these shoe 6 of the day. Sand no problem , walking around during the day no problem . The hole in the shoe not only drain the water the wind hit them for a nice breeze. Now for the bad which isn’t really to bad the bottom isn’t super durable.
