HONESTLY, JUST BUY IT!!. You will never get more light and party action for this little money! I was unsure of this light because of the great price but I read the review (by Connor M.) and his comparison to the Mini Kinta (which I have not owned but costs more). All I can say is this light is an awesome bang for the buck. It puts out a CRAZY amount of light and color. My den is ~ 25' x 35' with 20' ceilings and this thing fills the whole space very well. I put it outside and it lit my whole back yard well too. Lasers are my favorite BUT they can only put light here and there at a given moment in few colors where this puts 8 colors everywhere at once. This thing is a necessity for lighting up a party and you could get by with just this and no other lights period. The sound mode is pretty cool and works well in at least one mode I liked. It changes the colors and shifts with the beat of the music. Some modes help it flash in different ways, all of which I have not played with yet, but I had it basically figured out for my home party needs in less than 5 minutes. I don't have a Pro DMX light board or anything like that so I am not an expert, but this thing is metal, sturdy and seems pro grade to me. It has more settings than I could need, plus the remote is a great thing to have in your pocket during a party. Don't be that guy walking over to your light every 5 minutes.

First (and current) impression: wow. At this price point I wasn't expecting much, but this light is just about everything I could have asked for. Its DMX control is easy and intuitive, the colors are vibrant, and the sound control features are great (as long as your sound source is loud enough, which if you're buying this light for DJing/gigs, I'm assuming it is.) I wasn't expecting these things to put out much power, but man oh man these things are BRIGHT! If you're running this light in a smaller venue, you'll probably want a DMX dimmer or interface to tone it down. I have two of these bad boys hung 9' in the air, aimed horizontally above the crowd's heads, and it can still be a bit intense in smaller rooms at full brightness. When you give it some space though, it looks incredible, especially when paired with a fog machine. Something to note is that the light is programmed to have three color combinations (red white and blue, white and orange, and purple violet and green.) You can control each of those color sets, but not the colors that individually make them up. If you were expecting to just use one color at a time, you're out of luck; otherwise, the combinations work very well together. Overall, you can't go wrong with this light, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking to start doing gigs, or someone looking to add a light to their setup regardless of how large your setup already is. You won't regret it. PROS Great DMX, remote, and sound control. You really can't go wrong when you set this thing up. Very bright light, very vibrant colors. Metal case is a big plus, this thing feels well built in every aspect. CONS Color combinations are hardwired, and can't be changed (as far as I know.) Can be blindingly bright if directed at you in a smaller venue. I recommend using DMX control to dim the brightness and/or hang the light high and point it somewhat away from your audience.

After a small amount of usage a glitch appeared in the unit. I emailed customer service with my problem and within 24 hours they answered me and asked a few questions to identify my problem. They realized it was nothing I could fix and Immediately offered to send me a replacement unit. Within 72 hours I received another unit and I couldn't be happier with their customer service. They were courteous throughout the ordeal and they made me feel like their primary concern was to make me satisfied with their product. The product itself is terrific and does what it was advertised to do

I needed good lights I could put in Auto mood, set on top of the speakers, and let run for the whole night giving pretty light patterns to the dance floor and these are perfect! They come with a hand-held remote that you can change the auto pattern/sound response with, though to date I have just picked one when I turned them on and let them run that way. With a DMX controller you can change the light colors and patterns and run them as part of a controlled show as well. Great effect great price you will love these. Pic is with the house lights on, they are awesome in the dark. Updated to add video showing one running in sound active mode at home, works excellent and nice and bright!

Yes it was cheaper, has more colors and a free remote. The mic for sound active is weak it's constantly loosing sync. The adjustments to colors don't maintain. I wanted only blue green and purple. But always goes to all colors. And remote uses channels that my American dj lights use, but not for the same functions. It's a good light for playing with at home. But not club ready

It is definitely a hit with the dance crowd! The remote works well but you need to be facing the light side for it to work. Since I (DJ) set it up either to the side or in front of me, it makes it harder to change the functions with the remote. As I progress, I'll get a DMX controller and make it more effective. But it's colors are very good. I use it in the sound activation mode and I usually have to play the music fairly loud for it to make the lights dance. Overall, I'm very pleased. UPDATE 2/19/2017! I recently purchased a DMX controller and have "learned" how to control this light and it's many functions. All I can say is WOW! With the controller, you can split the colors, join all the colors, dim the colors, make them strobe, spin, change the speeds or even strobe and spin at the same time. This is a must have light if you are a mobile dj because in fog, the beams are shooting all over the place. I can't see how a Mini Kinta would be better. And it costs almost twice as much!
