The media could not be loaded. Let me just begin with the packaging in which this unit came in...it is excellent! It had foam protection, had a plastic bag on it to protect it from moisture and was taped to perfection. Once you open the box you will see the instructions on top, they come in handy and are quite easy to understand. After you read over those then you will think about all the occasions in which this can be used and the options and features that are built into this unit, which are very impressive to say the least. The power cord that came with it is very thick, of high quality and measures out to about 6 feet long. So this is much nicer and longer than others and lets me think a little less about how long of a extension cord I will need if I will even need one with the length of the included one. There are plenty of options on the back that are easy to control and understand. The Sensitivity knob did great when adjusted so you can really set it in the way that you want to use it, the Power LED was nice and bright when on and plugged in in which the plug was secure and the Mic LED kept flashing blue when the built in mic heard the music to keep patterns to beat to, which it did excellent at. The function setting switches were simple to understand and easy to switch and had quality as well, so I didn't worry to much when switching them if one would break off. Then the DMX/Linking ports were in a nice position as well. The top of it has two great and secure harnesses so the unit can stay put. Furthermore, they were really easy to adjust and screw down to keep still and in a fixed position. The front of it has 4 great boxes in which the LED's are in with the special hardware as well to make the shapes and patterns. These don't look cheap at all and seem thick, so I know they will last a long time and not just break after some use. The bottom of it has 4 nice rubber boots as well, so if being put on a surface it doesn't have a chance of sliding off and stays secure. Plus another added bonus of this is that it allows air flow under it as well so it doesn't get too hot. Now to the use of it. The built in mic sensor and timer worked like a charm, after the music stopped for 8 seconds the lights turned off and didn't turn back on until the music started back up when I had it on Sound Active mode. Along with that, the Sound Active mode really did keep a beat / pattern to to the music much better than I could imagine. I tried out some rock music and some hip-hop music and to both it did a great job. After that I tried out the AUTO mode, it did great as well. I left that one on for some time and got to see a lot of different patterns along with a bunch of different graphics and various affects that really did not repeat as there were so many to go through! I can't wait to use this on so many occasions! I set it up tonight real quick so I could take some videos and pictures of it! It does so great and goes so wide my camera couldn't capture it all but it still looks great and does great! The media could not be loaded. Ok so let me start by saying, i expected these lights to be MUCH MUCH bigger than they actually are. Please watch the video so you can get an idea of the true size. Lets get started, I got these for a halloween setup I do. (fog machine). However I know most might want it for parties or clubs etc. Its great for all the uses. You can control the light pattern better with the DMX controller, however there is switches on the back to do the same. I set it once and pretty much leave it. Pros and Cons Pros: * SMALL! Much smaller than anticipated, It makes me even want to pickup more of these to get a better effect. * Easy to use, literally turn on and let it do its thing. * Metal frame - Nice for those strong mounts needed * Rubber feet under incase you want it on a table. * 2 handles/mounts for ceiling mounts, the handles have holes in the middle for a ceiling mount with a tightener to angle it. * The light patterns are bright and clear Cons * Loud! The reviews that say its loud are not kidding. Now dont get me wrong, mine will sit somewhere, where the noise wont matter. But if you have it on in a quiet room, you will hear it. But for those who use it for a party. Youll never even notice it. The video i posted does show the noise if you are curious, its the motors moving the reflectors inside. Overall this is perfect for what I want it for, I may pickup a DMX controller just so I can change patterns, which is nice if you sync multiple light units like this. ... show more

    • Super bright, and excellent out of the box music sync!
The media could not be loaded. Super bright, let me repeat, super bright! Which is amazing, because when you add fog the sharp blades of laser light is impressive, and for the cost, twice as impressive. It has lots of great patterns, music sinc without DMX is great! Fog is a must have with this light. Without fog this light is a bit visually chaotic. Keep in mind I am using this in a 350 sq ft area in my basement, but with no juice you get basically only the end point patterns on the wall. Of course no lighting is very impressive with out some clouds. This uses stepper servos and is very loud, but we are playing music right? During music breaks and Lulls it is busting out Mr Roboto sounds, Non issue. The music sinc is sensitive, but allows wide range of sensitivity adjustments. It does like to be closer to the sound at lower sensitivity. I don’t have a DMX controller yet, but when I do the possibilities will be endless. Club level brightness, responsive, adjustable, endless DMX control, loud operation, and you do need to give it a break and let cool if operating for 2-3 hours continuously, per manual.
