  • Paints
Paints were a joke, absolutely horrible, all dried up. Couldn't use them, obviously!

  • As advertised
I enjoyed painting this and I'm happy with how it turned out. There was plenty of paint. Rated a 4 because: I did have to do more than one coat on some of the colors because the numbers and lines are so dark. I would prefer the numbers and lines were lighter and easier to cover. Also the numbers and lines ran over the top onto the sides of the mounted/pre-stretched canvas, but didn't completely cover the sides. I would prefer the design not be on the sides or either cover the sides completely. I'll need to paint or tape over the sides to cover the excess. ... show more

  • I really like it.
This is my first PBN, shipping was fast and everything came in a flat package with the canvas already frame. I’m still waiting for others that I made from the established companies but decide to check this out because of the fast shipping. I see others have complained about the quality of the paint being too transparent and I watched some YouTube video on PBN and it seems like it’s normal to get some paint without enough white pigment that will make it transparent. So will have to remedy that and I did the paint swatches with its number to see which one I’ll have problem with. A trick I learn from watching YouTube. I’m working on the dark color first and those that are opaque. I switched colors when I got bored with one. I do use the smallest brush they provided as all my other brushes are too big so am waiting for my fine detail brushes to arrive. Overall I’m very happy with the quality of the print, lines n no. are clear n legible, canvas is beautifully frame that I can paint while sitting on the sofa. The easel came in so handy that I feel like I’m a real artist while painting and I can keep the painting on it for display once I’m done. The printed reference guide is so helpful to go back n check the no. when needed. Thou I wish the printed picture is slightly bigger. This one as you can see will take a long time and needs a lot of of patience for small detail work. But I do enjoy working on it slowly. I think it will turn out nice. ... show more

  • Not a beginners art work
If you do the paint by number as indicated you will not get the same results as pictured. I used an actual copy of the photo for the painting as well as using paint from other kits and used the lines and colors provided as a guide. Then I did my own thing. Otherwise if you follow the actual paint by number you will end up with something that looks more like a bad patchwork quilt. Paint by number kits let me paint in such a way that I can spend as much or as little as time allows while caring for a parent with dementia. ... show more

  • Colors are weird
Some of the flowers are grey. This is also very tideous and takes forever. Definitely won't be buying anymore of these.

  • Fun Project
Color: Vacation beach
This was my first paint-by-numbers project and I enjoyed it. I like the framed canvas. Some of the paint was too transparent to cover the numbers, so I used white-out before painting and it worked. I'm not sure the white-out was necessary as I found out that there was enough paint to make a heavy coat over the numbers. Some reviewers said they ran out of paint. That was not the case for me. This project was relaxing and fun. I wish they came with more than 3 brushes so I can paint more than one color at a time. I like it enough to order more projects. ... show more

  • Horrible quality
I have tried paint-by-numbers from two other brands. I really liked the concept and it helps really calming me down on stressful days. The resulting paintings also look great on the wall! But this particular brand is horrible and makes me want to give up on this whole thing. Here are the things I hated about it: 1. The numbers were not printed properly in many areas - strangely enough some of these blurred areas were bigger areas. There were many such areas which needed me to constantly keep checking back the reference sheet. 2. The PAINT IS HORRIBLE. While painting, it looks ok, but later it has a streaky appearance. Typically I was able to solve this by applying another coat over it in other brands (if it happened at all) but even 3-4 coats did not give a smooth appearance 3. The paint sticks to the brushes. I also have my own set of brushes, and this paints spoiled them completely. With other brands I was able to dip them in a cup of water and my brush could easily be reused for another color. But this paint STICKS to the brush and is horribly difficult to clean. The only thing that worked was nail polish remover which I'm not sure is good for the brush (I am not a painter in any sense of the word so no idea). My brushes all look quite sad now because of the constant scraping i need to do to remove the paint 4. The paints are not dark enough. This means even after I apply 3-4 paints, the lines do not completely disappear and I can still outlines of the individual areas in many of the colors. I hated this experience. Please do not buy this brand. I have tried two other brands and I did not have any of these problems with them. I switched to this one because it was cheaper and I have paid the price with my time and peace of mind ... show more
