This kit comes with a wonderful variety of supplies to foster a joy of journaling and scrapbook (which is just fancy journaling). The supplies all appear to be of good starter quality. The pens are not really glittery, but they are very pretty (especially the gold). The pencil is a triangle but should work in a regular sharpener. The journal itself is completely blank with no lines, which lends itself to the creativity of the owner. This would be a GREAT gift for a child.

It has everything described in the listing and is presented in a neatly packaged format. It’s hard to describe, but it just didn’t have the “WOW” factor for me that some journaling kits have. The paper is basic (definitely not heavy duty) and the other items are pretty average. It’s nice and anyone who likes to journal will be happy with it, I’m sure. But I’ll probably keep trying different sets as I just didn’t find anything special enough about this to make me want to purchase it again.
