This was replacing the cover from my original airgap installed in 1997. Looks very nice, but they should put the inside width dimension in the description. This is about 1mm narrower than my old cover on the inside. I ended up shaving down the plastic on the airgap assembly underneath to get it slim enough to put this cover on. That includes the plastic cap that you remove to clean out the airgap as well as the bottom flange that sits on the sink deck. This was the only way to get this cover to slide all the way down. Fit is likely not going to be an issue unless you have an older airgap like I do. Shows you that things aren't as thick/beefy like they used to be so new items tend not to fit old ones. However, I could see on the inside of mine that it is actually brass, but only time will tell what the quality of the brass is.
