The costume is very cute, comfy and light. I'm a 5'1" woman and it fit perfectly length wise so I'm not sure if it's too short for a man. I assume it would be but maybe not. The head piece is very comfortable and I don't feel like I'm being choked at all. My only complaint is the inflatable shell that came with the costume. The straps were ripped at the seam. One looks as if someone attempted to solder it back on as there are burn marks on the strap. I'm just going to remove the straps, velcro the shell on the back and call it a day. The back closure are your standard velcro closures so a white T-shirt underneath would probably work best to prevent any "wardrobe malfunction". ... show more

The only one that was available was the XL, so we got it because we didn't think it would matter with this type of costume. It is a solid medium. If you are medium, order the XL.

The fit was smaller than expected, material will split extremely easily (although that is expected in Halloween costumes at times). However, I feel as though the item I received was a return item. I would not classify it as new, but it was only for a Halloween party so it did its job.
