This is an awesome costume! I don’t understand the negative reviews! The quality is 100% worth the price! My 6 year old LOVES this costume and it is so darn cute! Would buy all over again! I wish there was more of the other characters so I could buy for his siblings!

First you should know that the costume comes with no instructions so you are left to try to figure out how to get the outer truck part of the costume to stay on. Thanks to a review, I figured out how to attach the black Velcro straps so that it can be put on like a backpack. Even so, it is a very floppy costume and falls off the shoulders and collapses easily. It does not stay formed. There are apparently supposed to be plastic pieces included that help keep the form, but they were left out of our costume. The leg pieces use elastic to go around the leg in order to stay on, but they slide down and create a tripping hazard. The last problem is that the mask has very small eye holes so other than for photos of your child, they can’t really wear the mask when walking around. I gave this costume a 2 because it did show up, and functionally you could just use the under costume, but I would not recommend spending the money on this transforming costume because it does not work well. ... show more

I have a VERY disappointed 5 yo little boy. Who wanted this & begged mom & dad for weeks. We ordered it & most of the costume is falling apart, so many lose strings and fabrics not even sewed properly. The “truck” part doesn’t stand up the way it’s supposed to so he couldn’t transform like he wanted to. Returning immediately, don’t waste your time or your money or get your little boys hopes up. ... show more

If you need clarification on how it works, ask them. I went wright to the costume company who told me how to hold on to optiums head. [email protected] The black straps don’t connect to anything, its intended to be slipped through the two sets of strings on the top middle of the box on as a “backpack” aesthetic. The two plastic rods are for the side of the Cabin of the truck to help with structure and support. There are one fabric strips to insert the rods into the cabin. ... show more
