Steve Vai helped pioneer DiMarzio ClipLock Quick Release Guitar Straps, and has used them for over twenty years. Naturally, we were delighted and honored when Steve agreed to collaborate with us to produce the signature Steve Vai ClipLock Guitar Straps. The Green Universe design features an immediately recognizable swirl pattern, inspired by Steve’s signature Ibanez Anniversary Universe 7-string guitar.

I love DiMarzio Clip Lock straps. They are sturdy, well made, and durable. You may want to pre-drill the screw holes if your original screws are short. Be careful, but it'll help.

The "DiMarzio Steve Vai ClipLock Strap Orange Universe 2 in." looks great, and works fine. Standard DiMarzio click lock system. Just as sturdy as their other straps I have bought. I always opt for Dimarzio when I need a locking strap. 2 different types of screws and washers included. Colors are bright and well printed. Has a smooth satin feel as opposed to the canvas feel of many of their others. Installed on a Strandberg, and used the original guitar's screws with no problem. ... show more

These strap locks are great! They're comfortable, and they installed very easily. On the plus side, they look great, but this isn't going to be for everyone. They look awesome on my seafoam green guitar and accentuate the colour very well. The neon really stands out, more so than the other (blue) variant of the Steve Vai ClipLocks. I have that one as well, on a white guitar, and it looks great. As for comfort, these aren't bad. They're made of high quality microfiber in the USA and they feel very soft. As for durability, i've thrown guitars over my shoulder with these (properly) installed and they come back every time, no damage, but I must say I don't recommend doing it! If you're in need of a strong, but flashy strap, look no further. Some guys are happy with their Levy's leather straps playing their Strats in the corner, and that's fine. Those guys can solo circles around almost everybody, anyway. But for the player who needs a little extra "pizzazz," this strap is an easy way to achieve just that. Hope this helps! ... show more

Well kinda expensive but it’s cause of the name on it and who doesn’t love Steve Vai right but the way it’s designed can’t use my own strap locks but I guess with this strap you don’t need them I just like mine better and also wish there was some padding on it. I love the fact that it has clips and that’s why I actually bought it. Also was shipped on time. ... show more

Love these straps, by far my favorites. Sadly, my prime fulfilled orders of these have not been particularly consistent. First white one came as only the strap, no ends or hardware, second one came with ends, no strap or hardware. The green swirl one I ordered came complete, so that was nice, but the white one basically became one for the price of 2, so beware amazon fulfillment on these. ... show more
