Surprisingly sturdy and looks great displaying my saddles at home. Don’t know how it would hold up at the barn with daily rugged use. I have my metal stands for that. For the money, I’m very happy with what I got.

Once complete this is a nice saddle stand that you can use in your home if you like. A few comments though...it takes awhile to put together. There are 20 or so phillips screws. It comes with a ridiculously small screwdriver that might work on eyeglasses, but not the screws here. The "instructions" are unreadable and laughable. You will need a hefty phillips screwdriver. Also, there was one screw of the wrong size which on tightening slightly cracked the wood, but fixable. One note, when assembling consider leaving all the screws slightly loose until the stand is complete. If you tighten up the screws too soon the stand may not sit level. Just put it together and then tighten the screws holding the stand level and square. The finish is OK but a little rough. I sprayed everything with polyurethane and that really helps.
