  • DO NOT BUY!
I bought Two of these cards to put into Video Capture systems for a Client. Both systems showed the same problem despite each system having different base hardware and multiple Clean Windows 10 Pro Installs. System 1: Ryzen 5 5500, 16GB RAM, 500GB NVME SSD, ASUS B550M-A Wifi Motherboard, PNY RTX Quadro T400 System 2: i5 12400, 16GB RAM, 500GB NVME SSD, ASUS B660M-A D4 Motherboard, PNY RTX Quadro T400 The Setup was meant to record video from 1080p:60 Cameras over HDMI with OBS using the Quadro's NVENC at 25,000Mbps to the SSD. When you install the card in the system it mounts a Read Only 500MB USB Storage Device with a Driver Install Package to what ever Drive Letter is Next, D, E, F what have you. That Drive Letter can only be changed if you use Windows Command Line DISKPART Tool and the Remove/Assign commands to remove the given Letter and Assign Letter=* where * is a different Letter. This is important as my clients plan to plug in Flash Drives, run a script to copy the saved videos to the flash drive and that script needs to target a Drive Location on a set Drive Letter and I want both systems have the same Drive Letter D to be used. Once the Drivers are installed and the system is rebooted the systems had a 1/4 chance (Tested with multiple OS Installs on both PC's) whether or not the Capture Card would show up as a Camera Device and Audio Device in Device Manager and OBS. When it shows up as a Camera it works fine, but once the 1/4 time comes it stops reporting as a Camera/Audio Device and shows up as a USB Device that is Unconfigurable. From what I can tell this device is just a cheap USB3 Controller Card with a like wise cheap USB3 Capture card and USB Flash Storage built in. Like every cheap USB Capture card on Amazon this thing is TRASH! Do not trust it Ever. I checked on the company's website and their Driver page doesn't even Load. The only Drivers they give seem to be for the USB Controller on the Card and not for the Capture Card. I've tried extracting the Capture Card's Drivers from the Installer on the Card but couldn't find it. When I tried Clean Installs of Windows on both systems I only installed the Drivers, no Updates, Chipset then Capture Card, then Audio and GPU. I also tried with Windows Updates, Older Drivers, Updated the BIOS' on both Motherboards to their newest versions and customizing the BIOS Settings in many ways I don't feel compelled to list. In short as the Headline says: DO NOT BUY! ... show more

  • UVC support; works on Linux, but not at 4K60p
I didn't see it mentioned anywhere in the product listing, but this product *does* work with Linux. It gets detected as a UVC device: [Thu Aug 18 19:06:07 2022] usb 4-1: Found UVC 1.10 device HDMI 4K30 Video (048d:9323) Unfortunately, on LInux, it doesn't do 4K @ 60 fps, it only does 4K at 30 FPS. This will be a deal-breaker for most. (see screenshot for V4L output) However, for only $99, it's not a terrible deal. ... show more

  • Barely worked initially, now doesn't work at all
TLDR: Don't waste your money, buy something else, this is not a reliable product. I Purchased this capture card in April of 2022. At that time I installed the card in a Ryzen 1600x system with a windows 10 install from 2015. I built a new system in October 2022 with an Intel 12700k and a fresh install of Windows 11 and transferred this capture card from the old Ryzen system to the new Intel system. With both systems, I had to install, uninstall, and install drivers several times for either machine to detect the card. After both machines would detect it, utilizing a DSLR camera with various video conferencing apps and OBS, the applications would detect the card and it would work, sometimes for the entire duration of time I needed it to work, but most often it would work anywhere from a few minutes, to 45 minutes and quit working. Each time this occurred, I verify the camera did not turn off. After it quits working, checking device manager shows a USB Composite device with an error and status stating This Device Cannot Start (Code 10). Restarting the systems would fix the issue and it would work again for a short duration, but now for the last several weeks in the Intel system, after restarting and uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers several times. The system does not detect the card, and the same USB Composite Device error is present in Device Manager. I should have returned this card when I had the chance. Don't waste your time and money! ... show more

  • DISHONEST ADVERTISING; NOT 4K60FPS/HZ CAPTURE
I returned the product apon receiving it, as the manual much more clearly indicates that this "4K60fps" "pro" capture card actually only captures 4k at 30fps/Hz. In contrast, the Amazon listing has very little mention of the true capture framerate, and in fact they actually incorrectly claim "4K60 recording" in a couple of places. It would still be a pretty good bang-for-the-buck at this price, however due to the dishonest marketing I will be sure to spend my money elsewhere. ... show more

  • Buy At Your Own Risk
I recently had an Elgato HD60S that stopped working suddenly. I then decided that maybe a PCIe Capture Card would work better for my streaming since I could just insert into my motherboard. The first day that I got it, I immediately started having problems. The first issue I encountered was a signal not being found. For those looking to purchase this product, there is a setup installation that you need to do. However, what happened was that my capture card wasn't showing up at all in OBS Studio. I had to uninstall and reinstall the software multiple times. It should be known that the drivers that can be found in the files on the capture card are for the USB version, and not the PCIe capture card. The second issue I came across was that the audio from my console was not being captured at all, even after I added an audio input source in my sources. I also uninstalled and reinstalled the software multiple times to see if that would fix the issue. Wild guess, it didn't. I chose to return this item because of this continuing technical issues and a lack of response from DIGITNOW. If you're looking for a PCIe Capture Card on a budget, don't waste your money on this product. I'd recommend just saving up and purchasing one from the more reputable brands like Elgato or AverMedia, which I have heard great things about. ... show more
