10/1/22 Folks, I am going to simply say this is worth the one-stop purchase it provides with true plug & play functions. Do NOT waste your time with the numerous cables/attachments advertised as being able to successfully convert HDMI via USB 3.0. I wasted time and money on attempting to use items as such with total failure. I finally landed on this...which is odd that it did not show up originally when I was performing my search!!!! In short, it works. I use the single HDMI out connection from YoloBox Pro to the converter (HDMI In). From there, I use the USB 3.0 cable and port on the converter to connect directly to my computer - works without a hiccup. There are no drivers that must be downloaded at all!!! When I connect to Zoom, the connection is recognized as a camera and I simply switch to the device as my camera source...all is wonderful. ... show more

So a month ago I got a brand new laptop that I could use for streaming, editing videos, and some other personal things. I tried using my old capture device that I’ve been using since September 2018, except that it doesn’t work on my new laptop unlike on the older laptops I used that became slow over time. So, it was time I bought a new one. It started off where it became difficult to get the video and audio on at the same time since it wouldn’t sync together, but then I read the manual on how to fix it and it worked. This new capture device on the software I use works on real time without any delay from what I see on the TV first, so if I wanted to with this one, I could look at the laptop and OBS software the entire time I play the game! Also I can’t forget to mention the fact that I need to plug in HDMI wires into the capture device but that’s normal if you are a basic recording or streamer. ... show more

Its only 1080p 60fps or at least it says that in OBS studio. Works on stream sights like twich, D+, & flix. ;) good on a second monitor on your PC but im it will work with only one too. Also works with a roku! Record qualitly is ok but not great.

Whats there to say? Easy to set-up. Used to video capture video game footage from xbox one into obs studio. 1080p works great as does 720p. Haven't tried it for streaming or with a camera.

    • 3 Months Old - It Worked Great, Until It Didn't.
We've had this capture card for about 3 months. It was connected from a Canon M50 Mark II DSLR to an Alienware M15 R4, for my wife to use for her twitch channel, painting miniatures for D&D. It worked great at first, & did what it was supposed to, through OBS. It was only used for 2 hours on Tuesday, 2 hours on Thursday & 3.5 hours on Sunday, each week. We're talking less than 8 hours per week. Keeping that lightweight usage in mind, it's not like it was being stressed out & overheated. Last week, it started having glitches. A reboot got her back up & running. Unfortunately, today it started glitching & then totally died. No video signal whatsoever. In conclusion: You get what you pay for. Time to stop trying to find somewhere to save money on her setup & just buy an Avermedia capture card. ... show more

    • Works great for watching Firestick on my laptop
I bought one of these so I could use my Amazon Firestick to watch TV on my laptop. I used the free OBS Studio software, and after struggling with learning how to set that up the first time, I'm now in business! It works great, other than the firestick can't control the volume on the laptop. I'm not working with a large 4K monitor, so I can't speak to how great the graphics on this capture card really are. But I can say that it seems to work well, and I haven't had any problems with it so far. I plug the HDMI into one side of my laptop, and the Firestick USB cable into the other side. Both devices sit behind my laptop, and you'll want a beanbag type laptop desk for the laptop to sit on so it doesn't overheat. ... show more

    • Pretty good video, but no stereo audio output through HDMI
It does what it should at 1080p 30fps, but the audio output is mono and not a stereo signal. I bought this in a bind for something fast and cheap after my other unit died. I use my ears to locate while gaming and haven't been able to since using this. Because the output audio from the unit is not in stereo. ... show more

So far so good. It's pretty easy to use. The instructions were very detailed. So far it's worked wonders with no errors yet. Just hook up the USB to your computer, plug in the HDMI from your console so you can use it in obs and bam you can stream on twitch and still use your TV to play games. Definitely recommend this one if you want to stream on twitch but don't want to spend too much money. ... show more
