I read a lot of the reviews on this (and other similar ones) and since receiving and using this have determined that all the negative reviews for this are from morons who have no business using a multimeter in the first place. The people leaving negative reviews for things such as "can't find how to install batteries" or "where do fuses go" or "probes are too short" or "manual is horrible" blah blah blah. The manual isn't great but most of the complaints are addressed in the actual product listing pictures (maybe those were added later on from the reviews, I don't know). Regardless... this multimeter has worked fine for me so far although I haven't tested it against other more expensive versions in regards to accuracy but for a fraction of the cost, who cares. I have an expensive Fluke clamp on meter as well that has it's place but this thing has a couple better features in my opinion. Time will tell how long it lasts! ... show more

    • Nice little tester to have at this price point.
Great to have for simple tasks and just about every task. Not sure how it stands up next to a professional tester, but does the job for me and reliable.

Seems to work well. Instructions are in very fine print and difficult to interpret. Maybe for more complex tests than I needed. still haven't found where the replacement fuses go.

Non-contact voltage works at about 1/2" from 120Vac, has features found on much more expensive units. Easy to replace batteries under the "kick stand" and you don't have to wrangle the protection skin to replace the batteries either. Even has a temperature probe. The Alligator clips are a little hard to use, but they do have a positive connection means which makes it difficult to install on the leads. Uses 3 AAA batteries (included). This is a hidden Gem. Only down side is the fuses are not readily accessible. ... show more

at this price, i've purchased three of them. that way i've got one ar different locations without digging around for one. they all work fine, they are compact and easy to use, auto shut off is great... as said, for the price! (snd btw- i'm a tech and have amassed a collection of 5 "yellow" high end meters over the years that have failed and are no longer used. i could buy 50 of these meters and would still be ahead vs buying on *luk meter... ... show more

    • So many features for the price and fairly rugged,
I looked at a bit a dozen choices. My use is very homeowner limited, but why not get a lot for a little? The non contact voltage detector, flashlight, stand, dual probes, large lighted display. My only gripe, minor league s the included alligator clips don't fit on the probes. Not even close, though you can force them (not a good idea). Truthfully I didn't even notice them in the pics. So I was surprised they were there. The inner holes in the c,ups are to small for the probes and better ones click onto the probes. Fixing this in future model would be nice, but didn't alter my 5 star rating and absolute recommendation. ... show more
