I wear a size 30 in ANY other brand (and I don't buy any of the elastic/stretch bs). I tried on the Dickies before washing them and they were very tight and barely fit. I thought maybe they needed to be broken in a bit because there's no way they would intentionally make a waist of 28 on a size 30 pants. I had to check the tag to make sure I was sent 30x30. Pants did not break in after a week of wear, I had purchased two and washed the second pair to see how much it would shrink. It didn't shrink much which is great! The issue are these pants at least the 874 line are much too tight at the waist and when measuring the actual waistband they are not sized correctly and are actually a size down. Buyer beware! You may need to purchase a size up in order to actually fit in the pants. The pants are of great quality otherwise besides the fit at the waist being inaccurate.

I love the fit. Not enough clothing brands make this kind of classic style pants with a high-rise that can be worn above the hips rather than 'at' or 'below' them. In other words, they're like high-waisted pants but you can also wear them lower if needed or if you want a lot of room in the crotch. On the down side, they're made of a stiff, scratchy material that might soften over time, but for ~20 bucks I'm not complaining. The color I got totally does not match the picture. It is a greenish/yellowish khaki rather than the neutral sand color that was pictured. Not terrible at first but after wearing it a while it started to bug me and I probably should have exchanged it. I appreciate that Dickies offers some shorter inseam sizes so that I don't have to spend money to get these hemmed. I got these in a 32 waist and they seem very big. I got another pair in a different color for 31 and those now seem a bit tight. Not sure if these are QC inconsistencies or my own unfortunate body type.
