Are these pretty? Sure. But are they what you're expecting? Likely not. These are stamped 14k. That is supposed to mean the metal is solid 14k gold. But it's not. You can clearly see the gold plating wearing off over a silvery-tone metal underneath. (Pic attached showing this.) Then there are the stones. They pass my diamond tester, but I highly doubt they're the diamonds (even lab diamonds) they're advertised to be. If they were, they would show single refraction under a microscope or jeweler's loupe. But they show double refraction. That combination means these are most likely moissanite stones, not lab diamonds (which are not "faux diamonds" as another reviewer called them; they're real diamonds made in a lab rather than mined). And despite companies commonly mislabeling them, they are not the same thing at all. You should know moissanite DOES pass diamond testers, so seeing them do that does NOT mean they're diamonds on its own. (I've attached a pic through my digital microscope showing some of the double refraction that means it's not diamond.) If this description were accurate, labeling these as gold plated and not 14k gold, and labeling them as moissanite rather than lab diamonds, they'd be worth a higher rating. They otherwise seem decently made, the screw backs are easy to use and keep things secure, and the stone size makes them very versatile. They are very comfortable to wear, and Ive had no problems sleeping in them. They are stamped 14k on each stud. The gold is more dull than the pictures, but I think they are real. My ears are very sensitive to metals, and I haven't had any kind of reaction to these at all. I took them to a jewelry store to be diamond tested, and they tested real. I don't have any other facts that say they are otherwise fake. They measured 1/2 ct per stud; so 1 ct total! So for $62, these are a great deal. They screw backs could be better. They seem a little loose, but aren't going anywhere. I've just been checking them with the rest of my body jewelry, so it's lot a big deal. ... show more

I ordered the 1/2 Ct Round Diamond Stud Earrings 14K Yellow Gold Screw Back Classic Solitaire earrings to change out. I have white gold ones but I didn't have yellow gold. They arrived quickly and when I opened the box, I was impressed at how nice they look. THey are described as lab grown diamonds and they look real. This is seriously quality looking earrings. They even come with screw backs to keep them safely on your ears and they were easy to put on and take off. They are very comfortable on and I really like how they sparkle on my ears. I also wanted to say I'm sensitive to nickel and I have not had any reactions to these I get concerned when traveling and wearing my "good" jewelry. I can wear these and still feel nice without worrying what if something happens to them. They are really a nice size stone and the earring are definitely well worth the price. ... show more
