    • I'm Losing Weight, But For Now ........ (Update)

UPDATE: I had to downgrade these from 5 stars to 4 stars because the material began pilling very quickly. When I sit watching TV, my hands tend to rest on my thighs. Of course, my hands move as time progresses. Well, the pilling is already very noticeable where my hands rest, even before it's first laundering! -------------------------------------------------------------- Due to a lifelong love for eating, advancing age (72) and very bad knees, I've ballooned from 200 lbs. to 350! This took quite a while, but I've finally come to my senses and am going headlong into a low carb, high protein diet. And, it's working! But, until I get to my 225 lbs. or lower goal, I need roomy pants that don't bind or cling to my extremely large calves. Even pants that are rated BIG are often sized for a big guy with skinny legs. And, I'm telling you, that ain't me! Also, I wanted pants that didn't look so much like sweat pants. The material in these pants is smooth and almost looks like material used for slacks. I can't yet say whether these won't pill like traditional cotton sweat pants. But the 75% polyester/25% cotton material appears to be the type that shouldn't pill. I'm only 5'8", so the pant legs are a bit long - maybe about 1.5 inches. I could live with that but, luckily, my wife is a talented seamstress. The two front pockets are plenty deep for whatever you are likely to carry, such as phones, keys, wallets, etc. The material is only a tiny bit stretchy, but the good fit renders that point essentially moot for me. One complaint I have is regarding the waist ties. Why do the majority of manufacturers making pants with waist ties on the outside? Personally, I prefer them on the inside where, when tied, they don't create an unsightly bulge in untucked shirts. But, maybe that's just me, because this type is everywhere. So, so far, I'm thrilled with these! I will update my review if I encounter any problems down the road. ... show more

The Deyeek Men’s Lightweight Sweatpants are decent casual pants, but they don’t stand out. These sweatpants are light and comfy right away — perfect for lounging, quick errands, or a relaxed day at home. They’re breathable and don’t make you feel overheated, which is nice if you want something easy to wear almost anywhere. However, a few things hold them back: • The fit feels kind of generic — not snug enough for athletic use, but not tailored enough for a stylish look. • The waistband stretches out quicker than I’d like, so they don’t stay as secure over long wear. • The fabric feels thin, which is great for warm weather, but not great if you want something a bit more substantial.
