These are (bowling) life changing. So comfortable and such better quality than your standard $50-125 show that breaks down after year. Whether it be the sole's seam that rips or the heal/slide gets worn out...this shoe makes both of those a thing of the past. I'm sure the seams of these shoes will break down at some point but they are light years better than any shoe I've had in the last 20 years of bowling. I bought these for my 16 yr old grandson for his birthday. He has large feet and sometimes hard to fit. These bowling shoes are perfect. They are special shoes for bowlers they have changeable covers for the soles . He really over them and they were his favorite birthday gift.

Had a pair of their The 9 shoes and liked a lot of things about them, except the width. When I first got them, I checked to make sure they weren't a wide version, because that's how they felt. Talked to my coach and he mentioned that they were wider, all of them, not just my pair and suggested I move down the SS8. Ordered these and couldn't be happier with the fit. I miss the slide having the front toe band being incorporated into the slide, but because of the fit, won't look back. Now if Dexter would only put the slides back into stock anywhere! ... show more

My last two pair of shoes had worn out at the toes and came completely apart. Part of that is my slide/stop style and part is cheap materials and manufacturing by today's shoe companies (yes, even less expensive Dexter shoes). When I read about the reinforced toe area in these shoes and the overall technology, I knew they would match what I was looking for. The price on these shoes is very high, but so far they are perfect on the lanes. They feel comfortable, but not loose. They are not bulky as others have described and they keep your forward slide motion as consistent as any shoe I have ever used (bowling 40+ years). If you can spend over $200 getting a new ball then you can/should be able to afford these. ... show more
