  • Love This Thing
Color: Multi
It works great for hand tools. Packed full of wrenches, pliers, and anything else that'll fit. Drawers slide great with a positive latching system. If you get generic toolbox drawer liner and cut to fit, it almost completely cuts out the rattle when driving on dirt roads. Great box. Would buy again.

  • Great Drawer Option
Color: Multi
These are great drawers, that fit certain needs ie no locks, but are sealed. If you're not running Toughsystem already, I'm not sure why you'd be looking at these, but these might even be worth making adapters for to run these drawer units for your specific needs. They hold up very well with a fair amount of weight on/in them and don't sag. I even have a set of these just inside my rear truck door inside the cab for quick access to tools and they've held up to years of southern US heat. Now that's not a great use for these boxes, but I was worried about the heat affecting boxes and they hold up and it just happens to be a convenient location for one of these drawer units. Where DeWalt has an edge other drawers/systems is that they are sealed. Put these in the back of an uncovered truck or trailer and your tools or equipment won't be rained on. And of course they are stackable, though they do rock a little bit when stacked. If I'm moving them in an open truck bed I usually don't stack these terribly high. Inside a truck bed I usually keep just a couple Toughsystem boxes stacked and I still like quick tool access so I would typically run a drawer box with either a small or up to a large box or even a tote on top, so I don't have to do any unstacking and if I need to move a large amount of tools to wherever I'm working, I can put these in the DeWalt dolly or one of their large wheeled boxes and when I get to where I'm going I'll break these down minimally for complete and quick access. I've got experience with other drawer systems as well. I originally got the very first DeWalt Toughsystem drawers and they were horrible, but if it wasn't for the DeWalt dolly and the Totes, I would have likely switched to Rigid or Milwaukee. Rigid I just like the way a lot of their system was priced. Milwaukee just simply has so much available and their mounting platform is really nice and I see these everywhere and I really like them, but not quite enough to want to pay for them. Tstak/Versastack drawers just seem too small and flimsy to me. I like Toughbuilt, but they don't seem to have a large enough system released and availability is low with a price tag just high enough that I haven't bit, though I've always been impressed with Toughbuilt. The bigger DeWalt versions are nice, but just too big and too expensive for me. If I were moving these around with a forktruck that might be different, but even then I would then just use a nice metal toolbox and make some sort of subframe. I don't remember if these work with the DeWalt racks. I assume they do, but the rack system matters less to me with these drawer units. FYI the Toughsystem tool trays don't fit. Most bins don't work with the shallow drawers, though I've used some aftermarket ones. I have been storing wrenches, small sockets and pliers in my 3 drawer unit. I have another 3 drawer unit that I will likely use for camp kitchen duties. The 2 drawer units are probably more versatile, but if you've got enough stuff that fits in the 3 drawer unit, it's a great addition. If you're already into Toughsystem, get these drawer units and a couple 2 drawer units. If you're granularly looking at all the complete systems, DeWalt is a top contender, though most guys will go Milwaukee I think most of these different systems have pros/cons and all will work really well if you'll just simply use them and adjust when you find something you don't like. When I was young we often just used buckets and that worked too, it just required more digging around. ... show more

  • Tough Heavy Duty Storage
Color: Black, Yellow
Great addition to my Dewalt 2.0 system. This is heavy duty and the drawers are solid and open and close easily on ball bearing tracks. They fit my bigger tools and I also have the three drawer box for my smaller tools. If you don't have this system, get it and get one of these as well. I recommend this product. ... show more

  • Well made, but heavy
Color: Multi
What I like about this box is I can set it on my shop shelves w/o the need to lift a lid in order to pull out the trays. The latches have a very positive function and no way would they slide out accidentally. The ball bearing slides work flawlessly and the trays run straight. I'm glad someone finally made a box that doesn't have a top compartment to open first and surprisingly hard to come by I found out. This is well constructed and appears very durable. Cons: While this works pretty well for me, it has some negatives. One is the weight. According to DeWalt, the empty box weighs over 20#'s. If I was still working in the trades, I doubt I would consider this box; it's just too heavy and if you want a top-centered carry handle, well, that's extra. It's modular so it can be paired with another box, but you would need a hand-truck to move it. To me, this is a set it and leave it shop box. The cost is another thing. How they can justify $120 for this is a mystery. I know everything is way too expensive now and even junk metal boxes are outrageously expensive, but come on. Having said that, there isn't really too much competition in this space yet and it fills a void. The box should come with tray liners; it doesn't. ... show more

  • Dewalt stackable tool box of good quality.
Color: Multi
Purchased as a Christmas gift. My husband was surprised with quality and material thickness of the toolbox. The latch is strong indicating good quality. This is a stackable tool box in design, which I wasn't aware when I purchased it. I'd say for what the Dewalt toolbox consist of it's worth the money spent. ... show more
