  • Dewalt staple gun and staples
Style: Staple Gun + Staples
After seeing several reviews I was a little concerned about purchasing this product. In the review videos I saw the staples did not go into the material flush. I was going to be installing insulation so it did not matter a whole lot. Once I received this product and started using it I was very pleased. The staples went in to the material flush, (pine 2X4's), and held the insulation without any problem. This product was very lightweight and has a very nice feel and an easy trigger pull. It felt great to use and felt like I could use this all day long without any fatigue. It fires the staples nicely into the material and worked great. I may eventually run across a material it doesn't sink the entire staple in to due to hardness or the length of the staple but with the combination staple gun and staples I bought, they work great together. Loved using this staple gun. I highly recommend it, especially for what I used it for. ... show more

  • Amazing
Style: Staple Gun
I'm a sailor so we like carbon stuff. This implementation was extremely well done. The carbon makes this oddly lightweight. But it works great too. This will drive a staple or brad all the way into wood while the handle push remains fairly light. I admit it, I wanted it on my toolbelt (for securing cable) because it looks cool. It's Dewalt so I knew it would work. But this works perfectly. Even loading staples/brads is smooth and easy. Good job Dewalt. ... show more

  • DEWALT Staple Gun, Carbon Fiber Body, 2-in-1 Tacker (DWHT80276)
Style: Staple Gun
Since Craftsman doesn't make its old stapler gun any longer, I decided to give this DeWalt stapler a try. I'm extremely happy that I did. This staple gun is much lighter, much, MUCH easier to load than our old Craftsman staple gun, and the force that is needed to operate this gun is as easy, if not easier than our old Craftsman. You will not be disappointed by spending a few extra dollars on this product! ... show more

  • Almost Perfect
Style: Staple Gun
Pros: it’s light weight, and takes less effort to use compared to my old Arrow T-50. Cons: the slide deal for installing new staples takes a lot of finger strength. It ain’t popping open, that’s for sure. However, for people with low hand strength or arthritis, it can be challenging. They need to work on that detail. Other than that, I like it. And it looks cool! ... show more

  • Excellent design...great function
Style: Staple Gun
I have had two craftsman staplers since 1995. They are beasts, I have dropped them, dropped other things on them and they show no signs of wearing out or breaking down. I have never even looked at another stapler, but I heard about DEWALT a carbon fiber stapler. While the weight of the stapler doesn’t bother me while I am using it, where I typically get tired of it is when I have any other tool belt on than my big double bagger with suspenders. I have a belt mounted tool pouch that I love for small jobs (Toughbuilt Electrician https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0140VARJ8?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share) as well as an over the shouldered you can see on the scale bag (DEWALT DG5680 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001P30BUU?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share) And there are other times when I just have cargo pants pockets. On these occasions, weight matters. I honestly didn’t expect just how much difference it was. As you can see on the scale above it is almost an entire pound of difference. Very rarely in a tool bag can you keep functionality constant and cut a tools weight nearly in half. With the lightness I was worried that I may not get the power of the other staplers, but that simply was not the case. In fact attaching fiberglass insulation to 2x4 studs with 3/8” staples the performance difference was non-existent. I went up to some 9/16” staples in older wood that had been in an attic for 20+ years and still no difference between the other stapler. If anything the lighter weight enabled me to put more force behind staples that were in awkward locations. I have noticed that this stapler has a “hiccup” every once in a while. It is difficult to explain just what happens, but probably one time for every strip of staples, as I guess I am placing some tension on the handle as I move the stapler into place you will here a sound and need to let up and then resqueeze the handle. I wish I had a better description but stapling is so repetitive that you don’t notice you what you did until after you here the sound. Oh, and for the guy that said this stapler wasn’t carbon fiber...it does have a layer of rubber where your hand makes contact with the stapler and metal in the strike mechanism, but every where else is definitely carbon fiber. I can highly recommend this stapler if you don’t have one or if you wish to put your current stapler on a diet... ... show more

  • Even a novice can use this
Style: Staple Gun
So I'm pretty handy around the house but this was my first time using a staple gun. I was putting up screens to cover our vent soffits. These are metal screens to prevent small animals (rats) from getting into our attic space from outside. We have 30 of them!! I researched many staple guns and thanks to other reviews settled on the Dewalt. She's light, fit my hand perfectly, very responsive so I didn't need both hands to fire the staples. Good thing too as I was high up on my ladder! I was able to accurately place the staples and secure the screens. Having the right tool is important to any job. Making the right choice when there are so many options isn't always easy. This staple gun made the job easy. Easy to load up with staples, fit my hand perfectly, so lightweight that I was able to finish the 30 screens in a couple of hours. She's a keeper and I'm finding myself thinking about what else I can use her for. ... show more

  • Unbelievably lightweight - You need one!
Style: Staple Gun
If you can catch this on sale it's well worth the price. I use mine at the gun range for mounting targets during competition, which can be a 100 yard walk, and wear it on a belt clip. Actually I found out it has it's own clip built in. It's so light I really don't even notice it when it's clipped to my belt. It also is much easier to use than the standard metal staple guns, so if you're grip strength isn't what it used to be you'll love this thing. I also like that you can see the staples thus can tell when you're running low. Only improvement I'd suggest is for it to have a keeper to keep the handle folded down, but a loose-fitting zip tie does the job. Everyone at the range that borrows it wants to get one. ... show more
