I had a hand operated PVC pipe cutter for decades. When I saw this one, powered by a cordless drill, I had to try it. It works great on up to 2" sch40 PVC. I quickly learned it works too good, so fast it can crack the pipe, so I had to slow down the drill a little bit and allow the knife time to cleanly cut the pipe. The only negative is that it's a big bulky, but how easily it cuts the pipe makes up for that. ... show more

OK, I did not know I needed this! Makes quick work on cutting smallish (< 1-12") PVC pipe, although it takes some practice to make the cut go straight across. Nice, clean cut. Also very handy for chopping dogs' chew sticks/bully sticks into shorter segments for smaller dogs.

Attached to my Hercules driver pretty easily based on the attached card and cut beautifully my 2" PVC right off the bat. Way more fun than a saw. I wish it cut larger, but that's probably asking too much. I will use it a lot.

This is a great price for this device if it holds up. Attaches to your impact driver and cuts pvc like no tomorrow. One of the best tools we have ever purchased. Beware though, broke our first one trying to cut 2" pvc. It says it will, but it really doesn't.

I needed to reconfigure the 2" PVC plumbing for my pool equipment and did not want to use a manual tool as I was concerned how long that would take and the effort required. I had not used a tool of this kind so initially I was apprehensive about safety. I also purchased the DeWalt impact drill (required) and a companion standard drill. I found the cutter easy to use and it was well designed for safe use. Be sure to follow the directions or view the one of several videos available for connecting the cutter to the impact drill. I have been waiting for Dewalt to come out with a pvc cutter for years, but this one is junk quality. One of the cast aluminum guards broke the second time I tried to use it. Also one of the plastic screws holding the cutter to the drill kept falling off. This is definitely WalMart quality.
