  • The Right Part
Size: 515056/Single
This part appears to be very good quality. Direct fit with no significant issues. Came with the four mounting studs, which had thread locker on the threads. Included was a rubber O-ring for the 4wd locking hubs; however it was way too thick to use. I reused my old one which remained in good shape. So you may want to order new locking hub O-rings separately. The O-ring on the hub wheel hub was also included and it fit great. This part was 40% less than the OEM, and it looks every bit as good. Would buy again. As to my 3 star rating on easy to install -- that has nothing to do with the part, and reflects was a PIA it is to get the 4 mounting nuts off the back of the wheel hub flange. You need penetrating oil, a short but strong air impact wrench, wobble short extension 17MM impact socket, and lots of patience. Nothing to do with this part, its just the design leaves little room to get a firm seating and leverage on the nuts. Also, pay attention to which way the dust shield goes -- its bevels towards the engine -- or you get to tackle the difficult nuts 2x. Ask me how I know! ... show more

  • Stay Away, Spend A Little More Money on A Better Brand! Customer Service Is Horrible!
Size: 515106/Single
Horrible customer service!!!! Stay away!! Hub only lasted a couple of months, then ABS sensor light kept coming on in my truck. I took the truck to 2 different shops and both said hub assembly was faulty. I put in a warranty claim with Detroit Axle 8 months ago along with a $30 deposit, I had spoken to a customer service rep that agreed to refund me my $30 deposit after I sent in my defective hub. They sent me 2 replacements, the first replacement had the shielding stripped from the sensor wires, so I sent it back and got another replacement (continuing to work with the same customer service rep). I paid another mechanic to re-install the second replacement....again.... This cost me 2x to replace it. I sent in the faulty one back this past Oct (keep in mind, that this has been taking 8+ months to get corrected) to Detroit Axle to get my deposit back. Since Oct 2nd, I did not receive a refund for my deposit and or a call about the status. I called in again only to find out that the customer service rep that I spoke to, was no longer there, but instead ended up talking to Robert Murray (a manager of sorts there and as he put it, the owner is the only person above him) and he refused to render me my deposit, because they didnt find anything "faulty" on the hub I sent back... needless to say, I continued to explain to him about the money I have had to pay to get this installed on my truck twice and how did 2 mechanics confirm that it was faulty? along with my trucks ABS light coming on? He did not care one bit, his only response was "we can go around in circles, but your still not getting your deposit" and "that is all your opinion", so I basically lost my deposit for a faulty hub assembly from Detroit Axle. So beware when you decide to purchase hubs from Detroit Axle, yes they are cheap and their hubs are cheaper quality, like they say you get what you pay for. I would advise for anyone to spend a little more money on a better branded hub, its a shame that a so called manager in Detroit Axle is allowed to talk to customers like that. My only hope now is that the replacement hub holds up for atleast a couple of months. ... show more
