  • These both make a little noise while cornering when new and the bearings are of chinese manufacture and it shows!!!
Not a Timken that's for sure, used these on my 2006 Nissan frontier 4x4. One of the original front hubs started making noise when cornering so I just figured I'd replace both, these both make a little noise while cornering and the bearings are of chinese manufacture but for the price it's not bad. FYI you DO NOT need to disassemble the front suspension, just remove all the brake parts and be handy with tools and have a universal joint in your socket set. Update 9/5/2017 These pieces of trash are getting louder, what a waste of money as they maybe have 10,000 miles on them. The company wants you to pay for another set and send the old ones back on your dime so they can inspect before giving you a refund on the second set.. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY on this product unless you are a dirtbag and selling the vehicle right away.. Also about their warranty, why would I want to spend the time and more money for another set of junk hubs that will make noise in another 6 months?? I'd rather have my money back to put towards a good quality hub, unless you like replacing hubs at every oil change that is. ... show more

  • Probably steer clear
I have ordered a handful of Detroit axle items, and usually they are kinda meh, but acceptable. Not really that great, but they are cheap and for the most part get the job done. However, I recently ordered front and rear wheel bearings for my truck and they all came in damaged. The rear bearings were not even the correct part. The bearings had been packed with grease and installed on some other truck. Then pulled off and returned and sent to me. I was able to get the front ones to work by reusing the old abs sensors(the ones on the new bearings were crushed.) But the rear were not for the listed model of truck. They have given me the worst run around on a refund for the old. I sent them back and now they are refusing the refund and the item has already been mailed back. Now that I have had the front ones on for a while I wish I had attempted a refund for them as well as they are really loud. I think I will be replacing them again soon. Probably stay away from Detroit Axle. ... show more
