A bit different from image and a bit smaller than site measurements but it is a beautiful piece of art. Mine was missing a screw that connects pole to base but no biggie,I had some spare ones. The base came in a different color than site image. It is well made but not as sturdy or heavy as the Macedonian Battle helmet. This one does not not fit a person head. the Macedonian Battle Helmet did. I am happy with this purchase thou. :) ... show more

I chose this for my husband, a military and history man who would appreciate something like this. And happily enough, he loves the statue, particularly the ancient antique effect. Truly, it's a great-looking piece. Just be warned it seems to be bigger than the measurements suggest, so be sure to have the space for it. In our situation, we preferred setting the helmet without the accompanying stand, which also just doesn't seem to be as quality as the actual helmet, though initial testing of the stand revealed it still does its job. ... show more

Great looking helmet but be warned they claim it is metal but the one I received felt closer to plastic. Great looking piece but not sure if it’s worth the money

I absolutely love this Design Toscano SD116027 Ancient Roman Pompeii murmillo helmet. I love anything about ancient Rome, books, movies like Spartacus, Ben Hur, Gladiator and Pompeii. With my eclectic decorating sense I have busts of Julius Caesar so obviously I love all things ancient Rome. This murmillo helmet has a green patina to it making it look like a museum piece. Also it is mounted on a nice, solid and weighty stand. It really is a lovely piece of art and I am thrilled with it. Well made of resin and will last a long time. So happy with this. ... show more
