Installed this new unit to replace a 1yr old refurbished compressor that crapped out. Old one clogged orifice tube with metal shavings. Go with this new unit for great performance at a great price. Running problem free all this summer.

Denso has a good name when it comes to auto parts. That being said, whether Denso or UAC do not expect this A/C compressor to last more than 2 years.

I was looking for a good price on a compressor for my 2001 Ranger xlt. This one had good reviews and it was new. My concerns were the match and ease of fit, along with shipping time. Well, it was delivered almost a week early. It was new and it was identical in look to my old one. My friend and I installed it yesterday morning. The engine compartment in my Ranger didn't give us a lot of elbow room and the most time consuming task was pulling the old compressor. The new compressor went right in. We charged it and I didn't have enough gas for a complete fill. However, even with a low fill, this thing puts out the cold air. Obviously I can't attest to it's longevity but this seems to be one of the best buys I've made on Amazon. ... show more

    • Bigger pulley than factory
Install A/C compressor today in my 2002 Explorer. It took a while to figure out the best avenue, which ended up being through the wheel well. But, upon installing the serpentine belt found it to be really tight. Measure and found out that the pulley was slightly bigger than the factory one. Next serpentine belt replacement will get on about .2” longer than factory. ... show more
