The part fit. I had my mechanic install it. I think the generic one would have worked but I wanted buy once, cry once and be done. This is probably just the thing you need to get that A/C blowing cold on those 8th generation Civics that have that a/c clutch coil pattern failure. Installation is NOT for shade tree mechanics unless you have refrigerant capture equipment. Even then its a lot of dissembling. My advice is get a good mechanic and treat him or her like GOLD. ... show more

    • No noise, no vibrations!! Worth the money, trouble and definitely the wait!!
My car AC broke down about 5 months ago. After trying more than 6 used compressors (I stopped counting) and so much time and money wasted. I finally decided to buy the Denso OEM spec compressor. I found it on Amazon, ordered it and had it shipped to me in Lagos. It works perfectly. No vibrations, I can barely hear it working and it cools real good, even in the Tropical heat at full strength in the afternoons. One of the best decisions I ever made. Cry now, not later. So glad I spent the money on this instead of a cheaper knockoff. No issues, already had the correct oil amount in it, and everything mounted and fastened correctly. Don’t go cheap. Get this, the original!

Loved the price as it is an original part and NEW. Fit right onto my 2007 Honda Civic 1.8 engine. Can confirm that it does come with oil inside (about 2-3 oz). A/C is now nice and cold. I saved hundreds compared to go to the Honda dealer. Thanks!!! WIll update if any issues pop up. EDIT (JULY 2019). A/C is still running like new, no problems. ... show more

    • Denso Support is trash, rude customer service and will not warranty parts from amazon
UPDATE: Please avoid denso products, customer support is rude and they do not support denso products purchased from amazon. They claim not authorized retailer, and will not warranty items purchased from amazon. TRASH TRASH TRASH, bought one in 2017 and had to buy another in 2019, part died again by 2020, avoid avoid avoid! 2007 Honda civic LX I work at a shop so had the refrigerant vacuum/recovery machine so I was able to self install. Honda warranties their re manufactured ones for life, they cost about 375. I heard re manufactured and skeptical like it was junk, but turns out they have that lifetime warranty. Hopefully this Denso lasts like my OEM one though. The A/c is blowing cold again and all is well. Cons: No new o rings for the 2 hoses you disconnect at the compressor itself. Troubleshooting: My a/c was interment, we checked the relay it was fine. The pressures were reading 140/35ish(normal) when the clutch would kick in but I did not have cold air. I gave power to the clutch and it always instantly clicked in. I decided to throw a compressor at it, checked the lines for debris (there was none) and installed this. ... show more

The package arrived earlier than expected but when I brought it to a car mechanic he said the compressor will not fit in my civic 2007 Lx. Went to another shop and the mechanic said the same. He explained that the compressor is designed for civic in the US and not for the civic in middle east. Now I have to return this and pay for the shipping charges. Too bad I didn’t check the part number first before purchasing. The ad says it will fit in my civic 2007 and there are comments/reviews saying it fits their civic 2007 but unfortunately not for me. ... show more
