I have a hard time finding petite sizes in local stores. Only one place stocks the Democracy brand, and I have purchased several pairs in various colors over the past few years. Recently I went looking for black ones, and had no luck, so was delighted to find them on Amazon. I am 5'2", and the hem hits the middle of my ankle bone. I like the straight legs, which aren't at all tight, but aren't baggy either. The color is a true dark black that didn't run the first time I washed them in cool water. Fabric is soft, with just a wee bit of stretch. The "Ab Solution" waistband is extremely comfortable, and one of the best features of this brand. The jeans look good with both tucked in and not tucked in tops, and they can be dressed up or down. One of the few clothes brands that has maintained excellent quality over the years. I just wish I could find them more readily in stores, because these cost a bit more on Amazon that I normally pay for them. Still, the price is well worth it. Highly recommend. ... show more

I am 5’1” and 153 lbs. The size recommendation was 8P but I ordered a 12 P. It was a great fit. The jeans are a little bit long but I’m not going to shorten them. These jeans are loyal to me even after gaining 10 lbs, yes they fit much better when I'm at my previous weight but I was suprised that they still did their thing and no button was popped 😬 because they are very fitted for reference I'm 5'4 , they fit well at 136 and still fine at 146. I'm about 140 and looking forward to seeing them on my 132 figure I will say that I was told a couple times at least that they looked like they were made for me. I love the fit but am not that into the color/fade and distressed look. also wearing the size 4 over say 140 fit how I'm built was pushing it and the zipper isn't nice and straight, so definitely go for the 6 if you are a 30 waist. ... show more

I don’t believe it!! They fit perfectly!! I’m 5’1” , 109lbs , 28” inseam, so it’s a flaming miracle that these jeans actually fit!! The quality of the denim is outstanding — exactly like Levis.
