The top part, pictured holding books, is a thin fabric material, so I don't know how much weight that will be able to hold or for how long it will last. I know it's only supposed to be for light things on top, though. It is super cute. Just like the picture. And it was easy to assemble. I look forward to setting it up with my son's toys. My autistic grandson loves Mickey Mouse and when he saw his after I put it up he wouldn’t stop touching it. It was easy to put together, I only wish the books had more room and it was a little bigger/larger . I would purchase again..
