23.8 inch thin-bezel monitor with a compact base that maximizes desk space. Brilliant from every angle with a design that shines. In order to troubleshoot horizontal or vertical lines on a monitor, the following steps are recommended: 1. Reset the monitor to Factory Settings (Factory Reset). 2. Perform monitor self-test feature check and determine if these lines are also observed in self-test mode. 3. Check for bent or broken pins in the video cable connector. If found, test with another video cable and determine if issue is still present. 4. Last, run the built-in diagnostics. 5. If lines are observed after all of these steps and during the built-in diagnostics.

    • Nice Screen and Great Value for price. It also looks very nice aesthetically and is sturdy/stable.
I am not gaming or doing graphic work, so I'm not getting into details of screen focus or graphics details. The colors are bright and good and the clarity is fine. I gave picture quality 4 stars only because I'm used to glass screen and I haven't used this screen for any movies, etc. Can't say it's perfect, and again, I'm used to a higher quality screen. Nice thin streamlined style and size. Very pleasing aesthetically. And since it's just for paperwork, I can't comment about watching movies on it or gaming, but pleased so far as is and really happy with its overall look, design and stability. Good screen size for a few document windows open. I needed this as a second screen for document work. I am also not a PC person and so did a lot of reviewing for other screens to be sure. I am very happy so far. It hooked up to Mac computer very easily with purchase of Thunderbolt to HDMI cord. My Mac computer is about 5 years old, so I needed that adapter (Can buy approx. $5 and up. I only spent $8 on my adapter). It will depend on what you are hooking this screen up to if or what you might need. The main thing is I could not spend a lot of money, but didn't want uber cheap product. Pretty much I stuck with Dell for screen brand right from beginning. Trying to stay under $150. It is great screen for the price. The base looks nice and is Stable! I only paid about $130 for this screen and it is worth it. There are screens cost less, but spending an extra $20-$30 on this was a good decision and I almost spent $40 more on different model, but glad I went back to this model. It's a good screen in this price range and for what I need it for. There were many screens within the $100-$200 range and I am glad I backed down from a more expensive one to this one.     • Good (not great) monitor for the price
I had an older Dell 20" HD monitor and because I use my desktop so much, I wanted a larger and better quality monitor. My older 20" widescreen was from 2012 so I figured the picture quality on this had to be a lot better; it's not. It's about the same. This is clearly and "everyday use" monitor. I agree with another reviewer. The image is not all that sharp. But at this price point, I think the monitor is fine for everyday use. This monitor eliminates the old video cable and uses the HDMI instead. It does come with an HDMI cable. I am irritated by one minor factor. I noticed when I put the stand into the monitor that the monitor is ever so slightly off balance. This clearly is a quality control issue! Ugh. The screen tilts a fraction and there is absolutely nothing I can do to correct it. If I try to "bend" the base the plastic stand arm will surely break off. Probably not worth sending back, but a sign that quality control at Dell has slipped. ... show more

    • Fantastic monitor.
Pros: cheep, high quality, super close to edge to edge screen, good screen quality, easy to set up, and durable. Cons: can’t find any. I’ve put this review off for about a month now. I wanted to see how long it would last without problems. As to give the best review I could, and after a month and one clumsy accident and it has not given me a single problem. Every day I walk in my room and see it, it looks like a brand new monitor (even though I kinda is) sense the day I got it it has kept its new look and feel. And for the price, what a deal.     • Good general use monitor
DEC monitors are good reliable monitors. i use two for my computer monitors. The only complaint is that is that the image quality for working with Photoshop editing is a bit limited.

    • If you are on a Mac, turn the Sharpness all the way down on the monitor!
So, I picked up this monitor (SE2419HX) for a second monitor now that I'm WFH permanently. Once I got it set up and turned on, I noticed that it wasn't as crisp as the other monitor I have (pretty much the same model, SE2419H). Then, soon as I went to adjust the sharpness, by first increasing it, it looked like garbage. Then soon as I turned it all the way down, it looks pretty good. Looked as sharp as the first one I got. Hopefully, this helps those on a Mac with a similar issue. On Windows, not sure if this will help you. ... show more

    • Decent little monitor
I can't believe the markup on these things now! I purchased one 22 months ago for $119 and glad I did when I did. I'm a little upset that since it's so lightweight, it fell forward one day when it wasn't on a balanced surface and received an annoying 1.5" long black scuff mark on the left bottom of the screen. The bezels are decent, the whole unit feels kinda flimsy though. The rear plastic collects dust and fingerprints very easily. Not sure if it's the monitor itself, my display adapter settings, or where I messed around over brightening it, but there's alot of smearing and these odd blocky artifacts whenever dark/black video is displayed (like a youtube transition) that drives me nuts sometimes.     • Great quality at a great price!
I was looking for a 24 inch monitor for my WFH setup and evaluated and compared several brands but this one stood out, mainly for 2 reasons - 1. Eye-friendly flicker free screen 2. Very small footprint - the stand takes up very little space on my table. I'd say this feature beat out a couple of other very comparable monitors Other highlights (after 2 weeks of usage) - Vertical Viewing angle is adjustable (albeit to a small degree) - Super easy setup - was able to unbox, assemble and set it up in 10 minutes - No glare - The screen does not have a reflective surface. Also, the brightness can be sufficiently reduced to avoid stressing the eyes - Comes with a pretty long HDMI connector ... show more

    • Great office monitor
I bought these screens for my home office, and I have to say I’m very happy with the purchase. They have a clear picture and are easy to setup. The only issues I have with these are 1) that the two I bought do not seem to be the same height. One is slightly taller than the other, which when side by side is a small bother (I’m picky like that). 2) they are not versa compatible. For the price it’s forgivable and there are converters you can buy to worn around this. Over all I’m very happy with the purchase and would recommend this monitor to anyone looking for an affordable office monitor. ... show more
