New MPB and this monitor will work together... but I had to get apple support to assist. (1) Connect the MBP to the Monitor using the included USBC to USBC cable (2) Pop-up the camera (obviously) (3) Go into Photobooth. In Photobooth, under "camera" you will now see you "Facetime" camera and the "dell" camera. Check-on the Dell Camera. (4) Go into system preferences to and choose the audio output to be the Monitor. Probably could do the microphone, but haven't tried it. Dell support is terrible. In 90min they transferred me to one person after the other. Never again. Apple support is simply awesome. I downloaded Dell Display Manager, but it is useless and I think only works for windows. I have no idea if there is firmware/drivers for this for the Mac. 60 day update; Changed to 1 star. Do not recommend for MAC users. - The MAC keeps "forgetting" about the camera. Sometimes multiple times a day. Requires you to go back into facetime to discover it again. - Run into a new problem where randomly the sound volume will go from 100% to 0%. Pretty frustrating when you are on a call and realize you cant hear everyone. So then you either have to change the speakers to the MBP... or reach over and toggle with the buttons below the monitor to increase volume. No doubt this is mostly APPLE problems, but doesn't matter if it is not compatible.

A few tips though. This monitor does not come with a high speed HDMI cable so definitely purchase that. I also bought the Dell Inspiron 3880 Desktop PC, super fast PC, but had to purchase a C/A USB 2.0 cable so that they connect. Remember to do all of your system updates on the computer ASAP and it will help your camera quality out as well. The camera quality is not perfect and I found out it needs lots of light so be sure to get a ring light or just have a lot of lighting in your office and you won’t have any problem if your video conferencing on Zoom. I really like the fact that this monitor has a built-in camera and speakers saves a lot of space on the desk and less wires to deal with. Hope this review helps. Ps Dell support is amazing, so don’t hesitate to call them if you need them! 😊

Easy set-up. Minor flickering issues resolved by downloading Dell monitor-specific drivers. Sound and video quality are well matched to the purpose - Zoom, Skype and Teams calls, all of which are fully compatible. Speakers work well. Would recommend without reservation - but - this is not a gaming monitor. And - do not expect high quality sound. This monitor is intended for work, and it does a great job.

It's a video conference camera so it's not the end of the world for me. If you need it for more than that, then this is not your monitor. I have a $20 no brand USB camera off Amazon that I gave to my wife for her monitor and that thing was miles better. I mainly bought this as a companion for my Dell P2419 monitor with a camera in it. The monitor is excellent just like the P2419. It was a bit finicky trying to get the S2422 to work with my dock and get the drivers installed. The camera wasn't initially recognized, and I have to use a USB A (dock side) to USB C (S2422) side to get the camera and USB ports to work. It's nice that this could be your only monitor without a dock too. I did try it out that way, but couldn't think of a way to get my other P2419 to work through the S2422. I believe the S2422 is designed to be your only external monitor. It is definitely possible to use the S2422 for a monitor, camera, speakers and USB ports AND another external 1080P monitor over a single USB-C dock. I love the nearly non-existent edge as well.

I bought this monitor as I needed an all-in-one monitor that included a camera, microphone, and speakers. I needed the included speakers as my desk does not have enough space to place separate speakers. Plus, I do not do a lot of listening to music through my computer, so I did not need "high end" speakers in the monitor. This monitor has it all, and it was just what I was looking for. It works great, and the price is very reasonable for what it provides. I recommend this to anyone looking for a good quality all-in-one monitor.

The best part of the monitor is the USB C connector. One cable back to the laptop charges it and handles audio and video. It is superb technology. Monitor itself is solid for the money. HD, good work monitor. Microphone and speakers are solid. The webcam is a different story. Video quality is poor. I appear fuzzy, even in good light. Any virtual background or blur will produce ghosting on movement. This is a major disappointment, but probably not enough for me to spend $200 more for the newer model. As cheap as camera tech is though, they could have done better than 5 MP and no backlighting.

I purchased this to replace using my laptop screen for Teams meetings. I have another monitor but the microphone and camera are on my laptop so I've always used that. But as I am an older person, the laptop screen is just too small and when someone is sharing their screen, I can barely see it. This monitor is amazing! Took me a bit to figure out what I had available for ports (i.e. USB-C on my laptop is taken up by my docking station) but ended up with HDMI - HDMI and then USB-A to USB-C on the monitor. Works fantastic. I've closed the lid to my laptop and the monitor sits right on top. I did a test call with a co-worker and the sound is clear (and louder than the laptop) and she said the microphone works great.
