The DEERC D10 is a new Model from Deerc and it is packed with features. I was totally surprised at how easy it was to fly. The manual is easy to read and understand. I set it up in the house to get familiar with the controls. After charging both batteries It was an easy learning curve and ready for it’s first flight within 10 min’s. I spent about ½ hr playing with it in the house. Now for the first flight outside. Lucky for me the air was still and the flight went smooth. I was able to fly for about 10 min’s on each battery while playing it safe and not waiting for the low battery beeper. My conclusion is that the Dc10 from DeerC is a great value and lots of fun to fly. I’m still amazed that so much electronics can be included in such a small package. The media could not be loaded. I am impressed with this one. For the price point, it folds up small, has clear video, is good looking, and is fun to fly! For context, I have had a couple of cheaper quad toys over the past few years that this is way better than, and I have recently gotten a higher end GPS based heavy quad that really fits in a different category. The D10 flight mode is very responsive - 3 settings for speed and I used the medium one. You can tell from my flight video that it was windy, so I had to keep adjusting to keep the D10 in front of me, but that's pretty normal for a lighter quad like this one. The heavier GPS based ones can maintain position automatically. I would put this in the fun toy category with a decent camera, and I think it's cool that it folds up small. I would have liked if it came with a small carrying case or something, but even in the box it's small so I guess I'll take it around in that. I'm looking forward to playing with this more, and letting my 11 year old fly it too on a calmer low wind day. If you are looking for an entry level quadcopter toy to learn how to fly, this is a good one unless you live in a windy area (then you need a heavier one). Would recommend and would buy again. Lastly, it said it was backordered and would take a couple wks, but it ended up showing up at my house in a few days which was a nice surprise also :) ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I'm very pleased with this drone for the price I paid ($63, after 10% off coupon). It does what it claims to do. I find DeeRC customer service to be great. I own other drones form these folks, have had a problem before, and got an immediate part replaced with no questions asked! I've included some sample pictures and a video from a flight, as well as a video review so you can see what it comes with and how well it flies and takes pics and videos. much more info is found in the video I've included. The instruction book is clear on what to do to fly, and how to properly use the controller/transmitter buttons. If you are just starting into drones, I would maybe get a smaller, sometimes thought of as "kids" drone, to fly inside to learn how to safely fly drones....then, this is a good one for the next step to get you well into flying outside and further develop your skills at controlling a drone. You don't get gps with any drone in this price range, so, you will need to be "in control" the whole time you are flying it. It will hover (vertically) on it's own, pretty well, at whatever altitude you stop it at, but, if there is any breeze at all, you will have to control it from drifting downwind. It has the ability to "trim" the 4 directions so that it will be more steady in it's hover....but, you would need to set this up inside, where there is no wind at all. It will still drift downwind outside, but will be a little easier for you to handle. It will do "tricks" for show.....flip in all 4 directions, spin "in place", and go in a circle "in place". It also has a "headless" mode, at the push of a button, which allows you to control it more easily no matter which direction it is pointed. Also, at this price, any drone will not have a gimbal on the camera, so, videos will show all of your control movements. I suggest videoing only when there are "no wind" conditions and setting the flying speed to the lowest setting. (I rarely have a "no wind" day, so the video I show you will definitely show my control movements...windy up high and set on highest control speed) The book that comes with it will show you how to set everything on the drone. It was difficult to get the app that connects your phone to the drone to work in the beginning. Took me 5 or 6 tries before the camera on the drone would show a picture on my phone screen. Eventually, it worked. So, keep trying. Just be sure you are connected to the drones wi-fi in your wi-fi list on your phone.....and try over and over until it works. Maybe you'll get lucky and it will work the first time for you! Anyway, overall, this is a sweet, medium sized drone for the price....and yet, it's light enough (5.4oz./155grams) that it doesn't have to be registered in the USA. There are a lot of drones, at this level, out there, but, this one, with a 1080p camera and the good customer service of DeeRC is a good choice. Good luck, and have fun! :) ... show more

I have several drones and this drone is a great addition. This thing was ready to fly in a few minutes. This thing is stable and easy to fly. The 1080 camera takes great video... this is a great entry level drone for the money....
