It definitely was the battery, so I got another battery and now both our girls have a car and they are very sturdy, bumping into walls, flipping over, and crashing into each other. They go pretty fast! My 5 year old learned the controls pretty quickly, so overall 5 out of 5 for ease of use, customer service, and durability. Old Review: Got this for my daughters 5th birthday. I like the concept, but the battery charging light would not stay lit consistently, which should have been the first red flag. We tried it out and you can go forward and reverse 3 times before the car would stop. Try turning and it would immediately shut down. I tried to get in touch customer support, since I'm past the 30 day return window, through the link in the product and it goes to a dead site. This is a perfect rc truck to zip around the house and not having to worry that your kids are going to run it into the drywall and leave some damage behind. It comes with 2 batteries which is nice. Kind of annoying that you have to unscrew the battery door every time to swap out the batteries but it is what is. It come with a little screwdriver which is helpful. The kids love it and keep them occupied so it’s a win for everyone. The quality is decent, but keep in mind like with every rc toy, they will break, and they’re all ticking time bombs. Awesome RC car. I actually bought it to entertain my cat and I am having way more fun with it though he loves it also. Cat actually pesters me to bring it out to play. Perfect size, not too small not too large. Works great inside or outside on paved roads. Plenty fast but not too fast, very durable as I’ve crashed it against the wall a few times and no breakage. Coming with two rechargeable batteries is great. Charge always lasts longer than my playtime on just one battery. And fantastic price! It’s a great remote control car especially for a kid who’s never used one before. Easy to learn the controls but, after the first 2-3 days of using it the battery packed cover completely broke off which meant the battery would then not stay in. I contacted the company and they were nice enough to send out a whole new car! It only took a few business days and my nephew was back to being occupied all day lol. This little car is amazing. It is fast and there's no such thing as obstacles. My daughter loved it however, when the battery died for the first time I charged it and has worked for a short time. I charged it a second time and nothing. There should be a red light on the USB plug when it is charging. This light never comes on and the battery never gets warm. Waste of money if it's a one time use toy. Such a shame. This has been very disappointing because it was a birthday present. ... show more

One of the few decent remote control cars for girls. It’s a cute car and a decent toy. Customer service from Deere was excellent. We had a problem with the gear assembly of the original car. They helped us troubleshoot the issue and finally sent a replacement once a part Was found to be damaged in the gear assembly. I am somebody who has a dates to buy things with batteries because I know it will run out. I don't have a Tesla because I would have serious range anxiety.... If you're somebody like me that wants a toy car to chase your kids around the house and don't want to worry about having to switch batteries out all the time or run out before you're happy then this is definitely the car for you. This is not some kind of professional car that you're going to take to a racetrack. I will tell you that I have crashed this thing into the wall several times purposely to see how it would hold up and it did just fine. It has flipped over and tumbled many times over the last week and it holds up. The kids are having a fantastic time and so am I chasing them around the house. As far as the range I'm not really sure because I haven't tested from a far distance but it does perfectly fine in the house. The battery life is definitely excellent excellent excellent. I'm not sure if it's 80 minutes or not but it's definitely long enough for you to get your frustrations out and be content without feeling like you had to stop because the battery was draining. I have no idea how they are able to make this item $35 or so at the time of writing this review. Kudos to you guys. Quality product added an insanely cheap price. Keep it up ... show more
